1. GOP donors come home to Trump: Eric Levine, a prominent GOP fundraiser and Nikki Haley backer, made a BIG deal out of the fact that he would never vote for Donald Trump after the January 6 insurrection.

Here’s what Levine had to say about Trump just last year:

I don’t think it is fair to call Donald Trump a damaged candidate. He is a metastasizing cancer who if he is not stopped is going to destroy the party. Donald Trump is a loser. He is the first president since Hoover to lose the House, the Senate and the presidency in a single term. Because of him Chuck Schumer is the Leader Schumer, and the progressive agenda is threatening to take over the country. And he is probably the only Republican in the country, if not the only person in the country, who can’t beat Joe Biden.

And here’s what he said last month:

We’re not prepared to fold our tents and pray at the altar of Donald Trump. There’s value in her sticking in and gathering delegates, because if and when he stumbles, who knows what happens.

Now, here’s what Levine said on Thursday:

I repeatedly said since the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol that I will never vote for Donald Trump. Today, however, due to a dramatic change in circumstances, albeit reluctantly and with reservations, I have decided I will vote for Trump in November.

(Levine’s stated reason for his flip flop? “The cancer of the Social Justice agenda.” Er, ok.)
