1. “The show is Trump and it’s sold out performance everywhere”
If you had to guess ONE reporter to whom Donald Trump would never grant a coveted sit-down interview, The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg would likely be at the top of the list.
After all, Goldberg’s accidental addition to a Signal group chat which previewed a U.S. military attack on the Houthis in Yemen was the biggest embarrassment of Trump’s first 100 days. And Goldberg is also the guy who reported that Trump had referred to dead U.S. military servicemen as “suckers” and “losers” — a story that the president has vehemently and repeatedly denied.
Which brings me to this Truth Social post from none other than Trump on Thursday:
This might, at first, seem VERY odd — for the reasons I outlined above. But, if you understand Trump — how he views himself and the presidency — it makes perfect sense.
