Friday Mailbag!
Let's open the mail
I left legacy media to build something different: independent, honest political analysis that isn’t owned by corporations or parties.
I call balls and strikes—no matter who’s at bat—because what’s missing right now are referees, not cheerleaders ⚾.
If you want clear, concise takes that cut through the noise (without the cable-news theatrics), this is the newsletter for you 🎯.
Subscribe if you believe politics is better when someone just tells you what actually matters rather than just what you want to hear 🧠.
I am making a bunch of daily videos on YouTube. Here are my latest two:
I am answering questions LIVE at my YouTube channel at 1 pm eastern today. Come hang out! Money back guarantee! WATCH HERE.
Happy Friday.
We made it.
As always, these are — as always — real questions from real paid subscribers. Not one yet? Become one today for the ultra-low price of $6 a month or $60 for the whole year!

Q: When [Thomas] Massie loses his primary next week, what do you think the chances are that he and a few other lame-duck defeated members will undercut the Speaker’s agenda of the three or more must-pass bills?
A: Well I am not totally certain that Thomas Massive loses his primary on Tuesday. There has been limited polling in the district and everyone I talk to suggests it’s close.
That said, I think it’s very hard for Massie to win with $29 million being spent by the Trump political machine against him.
Here’s what I do KNOW: Me, Chuck Todd, Geoffrey Skelley and Decision Desk HQ will be LIVE on Tuesday night on Substack, X and YouTube breaking down ALL the big races.
The Massie primary is the biggest, obviously. But there are important Republican primaries for governor and Senate in Georgia. And there are several key House seats in Pennsylvania with contested primaries too.
We’ll bring it all to you. And, yes, we are going LIVE for the Louisiana Senate primary this Saturday night too!
STAY TUNED.
As for whether Massie might be a rebel if he loses the primary, I mean he has already bucked the GOP House leadership repeatedly. It’s why Trump is trying to beat him in a primary!
Q: Trump’s direct leverage over Congressional Republicans lies in his ability to primary them as shown in Indiana recently. Now, when this summer’s primary season ends and that threat is gone, might we expect to see more defiance from these Republicans?
