Chris,

What the heck ever happened to Voters’ Rights?

I am sick to death of Trump’s racist tactics, his thin skin and his revenge!

When will it stop?

Chris, while the Ds may very well win the White House in 2028, I think this Supreme Court decision opens the door to the entire Deep South redistricting and marginalizing the Democratic Party. Woulnd't that, combined with the very real chance that Virginia's Supreme Court will toss the newly proposed Virginia redistricting plan, ensure a (widening) Republican majority in the House for the foreseeable future?

I don't pretend to know all the ramifications of the ruling, but perhaps it wouldnt turn out as bad as that. There are large numbers of Black voters in the South. Perhaps, paired with Democratic white voters (they do exist) Democrats can still win House elections there. I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking wishfully.

The Voting Rights Act no longer exists. I don't know how else to interpret this ruling.
