I’ve decided that Thursday is my favorite week day. It’s nicely positioned near the end of the week, which is nice. But it doesn’t come with the expectations of Friday — and the fear that you’ll waste your weekend and it’ll be Monday again before you know it.
Right? Right!
Also, Thursday is the day when you get to steer the conversation of this site. I write a lot every week about what interests me in politics (and life) but every Thursday you get to have your say.
So, let’s hear it! What’s on your mind this week? What questions can I answer — or attempt to answer?
Ask them in the comments section. I’ll get to as many as I can in the Friday mailbag post tomorrow.
A quick reminder: The weekly mailbag is for paid subscribers only. I also happen to think it’s, usually, the best post of the week.
This is my roundabout way of asking that you consider becoming a paid subscriber today. Candidly, I need more investors in this newsletter to continue to bring you the critical information about the 2024 elections. It’s $7 a month or $70 if you sign up for the entire year. I promise you I will make it worth your money.
Hi Chris. I'm curious what you think about a mandatory year of national service for all Americans. I think this might be our last best chance to remind ourselves that, no matter our differences, we belong to a single country and we owe it something. Service could include the military but would also involve conservation, education, and any area of national need. Yes, enormously complicated and, at least in the short term, expensive to implement. But I think it would do the country's soul enormous good.
What's the deal with Biden potentially not being on the ballot in Alabama and Ohio. First of all, Dems get a calendar!!! But secondly, is there a way out for Biden? Is this a serious threat?
