On Saturday night, political Washington gathered for the annual White House Correspondents Dinner. As almost always, the president of the United States spoke.
I didn’t watch Joe Biden’s speech live but thanks to the (many) miracles of technology, I was able to catch it on Sunday. You can too — right here:
I also went through the transcript of Biden’s speech — and pulled out the lines you need to see.
Given the ongoing concerns in the electorate about Biden’s age and abilities, I think it is VERY worthwhile to examine what he says in big moments — like when the entire Washington press corps is gathered to hear him!

“I’m campaigning all over the country: Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina. I always done well in the original 13 colonies.”
This is a very good one — and smart to poke fun at his age!!!
“Did you hear what Donald just said about the major Civil War battle? Quote, ‘Gettysburg. Wow.’ Trump’s speech was so embarrassing, the statue of Robert E. Lee surrendered again.”
