Former President Donald Trump easily won the South Carolina primary over Nikki Haley on Saturday — and celebrated with a speech to supporters in the state.
You might think Trump, as the de facto GOP nominee, would start hedging his message to appeal to voters in the political center as opposed to his hard core base. You’d be wrong!

“This was a little sooner than we anticipated, it was an even bigger win than we anticipated.”
Trump actually underperformed what polling suggested he would win by in South Carolina. And away we go!
“And there’s something going on in the country. Some really great things are going on. You look outside and you see all of the horror.”
Um, so which is it? Great things? Or “horror”?
“We fixed it very quickly, and in 2020, we couldn’t talk about [the border], although we did get millions of more votes a second time.”
I know this feels like I just smashed two unrelated sentences together. But, I didn’t! This is really what he said!
