After laying low for the past 10 days, Donald Trump reemerged on Monday night — calling into Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News to talk about Joe Biden, who might be his VP pick and a whole lot else.
I went line-by-line through the transcript of the interview and picked out the lines you need to see. They’re below.
I put these posts behind a paywall. They take a considerable amount of time and effort. But I do them because I think going through what our politicians say — with a fine-toothed comb — is critically important. And, I am the only one doing it!

To the lines!
“I have done a lot of debates. And we have had great success with debates, but this was something very special, for whatever reason. It just seemed big.”
Bigly big! I mean it was a general election presidential debate so…..And away we go!
“And when I got to Atlanta, and this was at CNN headquarters, and there was a lot of excitement. There were trucks. I call them the $10 million trucks. That's with the antennas all over and very incredible equipment.”
Antennas all over. Can’t make it up.
“And he looked extremely pale, to put it nicely. And I don't know. Maybe it was a good makeup job or maybe it wasn't, but he was a very pale-looking man.”
Trump is 100% right. Biden looked pale — and bad. Worth noting: The Biden people blamed the CNN makeup department for how he looked — one of many excuses they used to explain his poor performance. Having spent 5 years being made up by the CNN makeup department, I can assure you they are total pros. Hell, they made me look good!
“I do have to say that the CNN, Jake and Dana, they were really they were pretty good. They were -- they really -- they were -- I thought they were fair.”
File this under “Things I never thought I would hear Trump say.”
“But it was a strange evening, I will tell you. It was a strange debate, because, within a couple of minutes, the answers given by him were -- they didn't -- they didn't make a lot of sense.”
Fact check: True!
