The 30 wackiest lines from Donald Trump's appearance on the 'Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show'
Whoa boy.
I have been having a whole bunch of conversations with paid subscribers lately — more to come on that soon! — and one of the things I’ve learned is this: You all really like when I go through the transcripts of Donald Trump’s speeches, interviews and the like.
So, I am going to be doing more of that. And I’ve commissioned a transcript service called Rev to help me! (It’s not free but it’s relatively cheap.)
I asked them to create a transcript for an interview Donald Trump gave with two prominent conservatives — Clay Travis and Buck Sexton — on Tuesday. It worked pretty well!
I went through the transcript and pulled out the lines you need to see. They’re below.
These posts are for paid subscribers only. They take a bunch of time (and some money) so I hope that if you are considering investing in me and what I am building here, this gets you off that fence!
A monthly subscription is just $6 while a yearly one is $60. Thanks in advance for your support!
To the lines!
“Well, they say we're in play.”
Trump was asked whether he can win New York and New Jersey. (He can’t.) Who is this “they”? And away we go!
“And the beautiful thing about New York, you win New York, that takes their cheating out of play, because they won't be able to... Well, any state that they win by cheating will more than make up for it with New York and New Jersey.”
He is not going to win New York. Or New Jersey. Also, where’s the evidence of cheating again?
“So we have great polls.”
Same.
“We were one up in New Jersey.”
The most recent New Jersey poll I could find was from late March and showed Joe Biden up 46%-39% over Trump. There is no poll that has Trump ahead of Biden.
“We're very close in New York, outside of the actual city, which now is so bad that, ‘Look, if I live here, I'm going to vote for the Republican no matter who. And Trump is the good Republican,’ but Lee Zeldin is a great guy. He's totally supportive of us.”
