Donald Trump accepted the National Rifle Association’s endorsement — big surprise! — on Saturday in Texas.
And he gave a speech. And what a speech! Thanks to C-SPAN I was able to get the transcript. I went through it and pulled out the lines you really need to see. They’re below.

What things? And away we go!
“We have lived up to everything, as you know everything I've said, they were just under siege with the guns, the right was, everything else, they did not move us an inch.”
What a “sentence.”

I have NO idea where he came up with this. There’s no evidence that people who own guns vote at a lesser rate than people who don’t.

He’s talking about Florida Rep. Greg Steube, who hit a home run in the Congressional Baseball game. (Also, left field is not the “deepest part of the park.” That would be dead center.)
“Another man, he was a doctor for, I do not think any of you have heard of this gentleman, Barack Hussein Obama, has anyone heard of him? He was a doctor, very talented doctor, he has a lot of things from his resume, he was a great doctor, a great admiral.”

“I want to say when he was the doctor at the White House they asked him who is healthier, who is a better physical specimen, is it Donald Trump, or is it Obama? He said it is not even close, Donald Trump, not even close, I said I love this guy.”
I can find no evidence Dr. Ronny actually said this. But in late 2023, at a campaign event in Iowa, Trump said this: “I said, ‘Who’s healthier?’ He said, ‘Sir, there’s no contest.’ I won’t tell you the answer, but you know the answer, okay? It was me.”
So, “sir” alert!!!!
