Donald Trump stopped in Rochester, New Hampshire on Sunday as he sought to close out the Republican presidential nomination on Tuesday in the Granite State.
Because I think it is VITALLY important to document what Trump says — particularly as he stands on the cusp of becoming the GOP’s presidential pick — I went through the transcript of his speech.
The lines you need to see from it are below.
“You got a lot of people out there. That’s like a poll, right, that’s like a poll.”
Crowd size is, in fact, nothing like a poll. Just ask Vivek Ramaswamy. And away we go!
“We have the worst president in the history of our country and he’s destroying, he is destroying our country.”
Donald Trump ranked as the 3rd worst president in history in the latest rankings by historians. Joe Biden was 19th.
“No, I just said that the happiest person with Biden is Jimmy Carter because Jimmy Carter, his administration was brilliant by comparison.”
Carter, who is 99, has been in hospice since early 2023.
“Before we begin, I’d like to take time to congratulate Ron DeSantis and of course a really terrific person, who I’d had gotten to know his wife Casey, for having run a great campaign for president.”
“The problem with Ron DeSanctimonious is that he needs a personality transplant, and those are not yet available.” — Donald Trump, 2023
“But as you know, he left the campaign trail today at 3:00 PM and in so doing he was very gracious and he endorsed me, so I appreciate it, Ron.”
“You can be the most worthless Republican in America. If you kiss the ring, Trump will say you are wonderful.” — Ron DeSantis, one week ago.
