🔥 The Most Likely Election Outcome Isn't What You Think

My conversation with Decision Desk HQ's Geoffrey Skelley

I left legacy media to build something different: independent, honest political analysis with no corporate or partisan agenda.

I call balls and strikes ⚾ — because politics needs referees, not cheerleaders.

If you want clear, concise analysis that cuts through the noise, subscribe today. You’ll get what actually matters—not just what people want you to hear. 🎯

It’s my favorite day of the year: The day when Decision Desk HQ unveils their House and Senate election forecasts!

Here are the toplines:

  • Democrats have a 61% chance of retaking the House majority

  • Republicans have a 57% chance of holding the Senate majority

And yet, the most likely outcome of the election, according to the DDHQ forecast, is that either Republicans or Democrats wind up with total control of the House and Senate.

My friend Geoffrey Skelley — the chief elections analyst at Decision Desk HQ — and I spent the better part of an hour walking through the DDHQ forecasts for House and Senate on a Substack Live Wednesday.

It was a terrific conversation — and I am going to do everything I can to make this a regular feature of “So What” going into the fall!

You can also check out the forecast — for Senate and House control as well as individual Senate races — at the AMAZING DDHQ Votes dashboard. And if you don’t follow Geoffrey Skelley’s DDHQ Substack, fix that glitch immediately.

This post is FREE. But practicing actual independent journalism isn’t free! Please consider becoming a paid subscriber to “So What” today. You can read more about what you get from a subscription — and what you are supporting — here.
