There are two articles in the New York Times, one on April 3 and one yesterday, describing Ms. Loomer’s influence on the firing of government personnel. Ms. Loomer has mentioned that she receives “tips” from her online followers and via encrypted emails as well. She uses this information to conduct further “research” into the backgrounds of her targeted individuals. Is the information that Ms. Loomer receives accurate? In the case of Vinay Prasad it appears to be. However, given the rapidity with which firings take place after Ms. Loomer visits the White House (immediately or within 24 hours), it is plausible that no further investigation into her allegations is made. She is taken at her word, and people’s careers are ended due to her perception that these individuals are somehow disloyal to Trump. It’s not only shameful, it’s horrifying.
