I don’t write — or talk — about my wife much publicly.
She’s a private person, preferring to work behind the scenes while I am in front of the camera.
But she is integral to this independent media career I am building; she handles ALL of the business operations — a good thing since I am, um, not a very good businessman!
Even more importantly, however, this Substack (and my YouTube channel and everything else we have built over the last few years) would not exist without my wife.
When CNN laid me off at the end of 2022, I was utterly lost. She was my anchor — keeping me tethered to the opportunities out there for me rather than give in to the despair I was feeling.
Thanks to my friend Kate Brower, whose Substack is called “How She Led To Me,” I got a chance to talk about my wife — and how she saved me in my lowest moment.
