If you ever listen to a speech by Donald Trump, you will here some variation of this line: Joe Biden was the worst president ever!
It’s become part of Trump’s standard riff — a way to draw a clear line of demarcation between Biden’s feckless approach to, well, everything and the, er, forcefulness with which Trump has approached the country and the world.
Which is why a new poll finding released Tuesday is going to really piss the president off.
Yes, that’s right. Forty eight percent of Americans said Biden did a better job as president while 40% said Trump did.
And the indignity doesn’t stop there! The poll in question was conducted by Rasmussen Reports, a firm that has consistently had rosier numbers for Trump than most other national surveys.
Throughout his decade-plus in national politics, Trump has regularly cited Rasmussen when questioned about his standing in the polls — noting, usually rightly, that Rasmussen showed him in better shape.
But, now….what does Trump say? His favorite pollster has numbers that suggest the worst president ever — by Trump’s reckoning — is seen as doing a better job than he has in office! Catastrophe!
And Rasmussen isn’t alone. It’s one of three recent polls to show Biden outpacing Trump when people are asked who did a better job as president:
If you don’t think this will bother Trump, well then you don’t know Trump.
