"First of all, nobody even knows who they’re polling. These so-called ‘surveys’ are a joke. Total joke. The fake news loves them. They call ten people, half of them probably work for Democrats, and suddenly it’s ‘historic.’ Give me a break.
Look at the results we’re seeing across the country. Look at the crowds. Look at the enthusiasm. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it. Meanwhile, Joe Biden can’t fill a conference room.
And Rasmussen? They’ve had problems for years. People say their numbers are all over the place. Maybe they should focus on getting it right instead of chasing headlines. Maybe we’ll take a very close look at that. Very close."
I think when you tie Trump to "normal" presidential behaviors like thinking about his legacy, you sort of miss the essence of Trump. Feels like the only legacy that he's interested in is completely tearing the country apart, remaining in office until he dies, and undermining everything the country has stood for for the last 250 years. He won't be satisfied with anything less.
Trump will matter in History! Hope he is still alive to see his name ripped off everything, his ballroom converted to a public Democracy history museum, his plane sunk as a environmental reef off the coast of Florida, and I am sure a few other disgraceful things reversed, that he will surely do to finish his self-aggrandizement term. This will be necessary to help MOST of America shed the shame that history will amplify as more lies and ant-freedom actions are uncovered. For you sport fans, he will be the OJ of politics who was acquitted by a jury in 2024, but will forever lose the poll of human decency and anti-American actions as POTUS. Every generation needs a wakeup call to fix what was badly broken, so these threats to what we took for granted, "NEVER AGAIN" happen -- that will be his positive legacy.
Well, isn't this a turn of events for Trump? His favorite pollster has him at 40% to Biden's 48%. You're right, his blood pressure is probably sky high and about ready to stroke out. Like everything else it will be someone else's fault, never his. He won't but maybe he should take note of this - his lies and self-aggrandizement aren't working too well right now. Perhaps he should cut out all of the BS, name calling, etc., and actually act presidential for a change. I'm just not sure he can do it...
Just remember where Biden’s polls went in a few months 4 years ago. They got so bad, as did he, that his own party kicked (the most powerful man on planet Earth) to the curb. So while Chris is enjoying this brief moment in time let’s think about where poor ole JB ended up…..
Biden had every reason to blame Trump for the crap economy that he inherited but he didn't unlike the talking, lying yam who can't EVER take responsibility for anything he effs up. Trump inherited the best economy in the world according to The Economist and Trump has just trashed it.
i can just hear the narrative now: this is just irrefutable proof that the media is not being fair to him, and therefore the media needs to be nationalized along with the polling places in blue states.
Will it drive him insane?
No No No No, my good man.
He IS insane. Possibly certifiably insane.
And getting worse by the day.
Exactly.
I guess Trump is now going to have to sue Rasmussen
Maybe people realize that the U.S. wasn’t dead when Trump came back to the White House in 2025.
Trump in 3... 2... 1...

Very well done channeling The Orange Turd
Here is the playbook so you can play along -
Discredit the source (fake, low rating, etc.).
Provide vague social proof (people tell me, everyone knows, etc)
Contrast with rival (sleepy joe, they did a terrible job)
Reassert past success (brought in 18 trillion dollars, ended 8 wars)
Hint at action or strength (we will take a look at that, maybe we will do something)
Simple repetitive language with heavy emphasis (disaster, beautiful, huge)
For each step - lie your ass off. It doesn't matter how big the lie because, you know, it is just Donald being Donald.
You mean more insane

this stuff is going to start occupying his head rent free.
And pound and pound.
His legacy is already secure: as the WORST president in American history.

And I want the next president to reverse most (if not all) of Trump's executive orders, and add insult to injury by doing it by autopen.

On top of Trump in a Rasmussen poll.
Biden had every reason to blame Trump for the crap economy that he inherited but he didn't unlike the talking, lying yam who can't EVER take responsibility for anything he effs up. Trump inherited the best economy in the world according to The Economist and Trump has just trashed it.
So, Harris and Buttigieg, if they enter a campaign, have to run away from Biden admin ties huh?
He just ignores bad news BECAUSE HE'S ALREADY INSANE !
i can just hear the narrative now: this is just irrefutable proof that the media is not being fair to him, and therefore the media needs to be nationalized along with the polling places in blue states.
Chris, until Nov the polls mean nothing to me. In fact I think we should all play as if we are behind. Nothing to celebrate here.
I wouldn't believe a Rasmussen poll if it said the sky was blue, but this is clearly Rasmussen trying to send a warning to Trump.
Fun fact: The Rasmussen in Rasmussen co-founded ESPN with his dad.
If people prefer “Sleepy” Joe Biden, they’re saying that they’d prefer “Dozing” Don Trump to the ADHD figure we have to see every minute now.
Something tells me it is not going to be the last.
