On Thursday, I went to the woods — and a Getaway cabin.
For the better part of the next 16 hours, I put my phone away (as did the rest of my family) and we just, well, spent time together. We talked. We made s’mores. We played board games. (My wife won “Ticket to Ride: Europe” by ONE measly point!)
I’d like to tell you I came away with some big revelation from my electronic disconnect. I didn’t. But I did realize how important doing very little can be.
I explain more in the video below.
::Chris when he turned back on his phone::
Wait, Maine did WHAT??
A very valuable thing to do, that little sojourn in the countryside with your family and no distractions. Wishing you and your family all the best for the new year and I feel sure you are feeling a lot more settled this year than you were last year!
