The best clip in the history of TV “news” is this one:
In honor of Bill O’s epic rant, I thought I might experiment tonight with some new technology that Substack is giving me (and a handful of other folks) exclusive access to: Live streaming!
Which means you — dear readers — will be among the first Substackers to this! We’re through the looking glass here, people!
Ok, first the details. My plan is to go live after former president Barack Obama’s speech tonight, which I expect will be the final one of the evening. DNC organizers have already said they are planning to start the program earlier tonight so I would assume that it will all wrap up by around 11 pm eastern.
This livestream is going to be for paid subscribers only — a special treat for the convention. If you aren’t one, I am running a sale RIGHT NOW — $5 a month or $50 for a whole year!
Here’s how you can guarantee you don’t miss my livestream:
Download the Substack app (if you haven’t already). NOTE: You must watch this through the app on your phone. It’s not available on desktop just yet.
Turn on “push” notifications
That’s it!
When I do go live tonight, you should get a notification (or/and an email) to join. Just tap that notification and you’re in!
I will also, of course, be hosting a live chat — via Substack — during night 2 of the convention. I will post a link to it at 8-ish but likely won’t be active on it myself until 10 pm or so. That, too, is for paid subscribers.
Looking forward to it.
Can't figure out how to enable Push notifications in the Substack app on my phone. 😢
