I do not like Simon Rosenberg. He made a lot of money peddling false hope to people, sticking his fingers in his ears going la la la la la la la we're still winning, knowing there was a 50% chance he'd get it right.

Would you still rather be us than them, Simon? Were all those polls really fake?

What about the early voting numbers where it was clear you had no idea what you were talking about?

The guy also was deleting any and all comments that dared question his logic, so he could continue to look like an authority.

Read this New Yorker interview. He ends the interview after the person fact checks him in real time.

>He laments the way Joe Biden and his team handled the age/competence/withdrawal issue; “our party looked weak by not being able to manage the Biden thing.”

That's funny. He was literally saying the exact opposite and was cheerleading Biden nonstop when he decided to cheerlead Harris nonstop.

Why does Mr. Rosenberg continue to make excuses by talking about his wins rather than this terrible defeat they’re just gonna destroy the country. What happens if the Senate votes for this budget? As far as I’m concerned, it’s gonna kill a lot of people want to talk about that?

I remember on Election Night, he was tweeting about some judicial race in North Carolina Democrats won. Like dude, not the time.

Thanks for doing and sharing this interview, Chris.

Good interview with Simon Rosenberg and great analysis of some little reported ingredients in debriefing of 2024 -- maybe from a partisan who got it wrong, but still important. From a sports perspective, can't win the next season without looking at such data -- but the question of who to draft to fill some holes to beat a very weak anti-democratic team are central. His perspective on the sides of the CR decision was also consistent with your earlier analysis. Thanks Chris.

Democrats do not need “our own Donald Trump”, a “leader” like that would be a disaster (to use one of Trump’s favorite words 😖 ) We are nothing like him and couldn’t tolerate someone like him. Do we need our own Bill Clinton? Eh, maybe.

What we REALLY need is another John F. Kennedy. A young, good-looking (you know it’s true) charismatic person- someone whom we can rally around, someone well-spoken, intelligent, someone who will galvanize the voters on BOTH sides. Someone we can respect! Someone who can speak to the people in an open-necked shirt with his sleeves rolled up. Someone strong. Someone like Adam Kinzinger (if only he were a Dem!) or Mayor Pete (maybe, maybe!).

I could go on and on but you get the gist. I know this person is out there somewhere! 💙

Why did Simon kick me off hopium?b(at least he refunded me 3$)Couldn't take the heat 🔥 of asking questions and clearly stating that the Democrats are losers. After years of saying dems were going to win, he was wrong wrong wrong. Take ownership Simon! We don't need more Democrats that only are good at raising money. We need actual leaders.

Thank you! I was reading him every day to help with my anxiety and then I realized, this guy has no idea what he's talking about.

Deleting comments is a word that rhymes with ditch move.

Didn't just delete comments he deleted me from his Substack. I was a paid subscriber. Only elites that can't listen to others try to cancel others and their opinions.

Sam's avatar

That tells you a lot.

Credit to Chris, he encourages people to disagree with him and tell him why they think he's wrong. This guy just wants an echo chamber.

Chris, Have you ever considered staying on these Substack videos for 60 seconds or so after your guest exits, to do a little wrap up of what we just heard? I think it would be a great touch.

Simon is a broken record …

Simon dem leadership is and has been in the wilderness … until they realize that a strategy trying to just win 50-51% and realizing that electoral college is more of a driver to whether the Dems can consistently succeed in winning. The Dems messaging is not a successful strategy to expand their reach … no commitment to focus on the 80% of what Americans think is importantl

I enjoyed the conversation a lot BUT I’m not sure he’s actually being honest with himself. Dems may not have lost as badly as it looks AND Trump is looking more vulnerable at this moment BUT Dems do need to win back the working class. They lost them not only because they didn’t do negative ads. They lost the working class because they don’t have ideas that appeal to them or appear to fix their issues.

Simon is a great example of being pollyannaish!

I've been listening to Simon for a few months and have yet to become a paying member. He seems to have his head in the sand....."if I can't see it, it's not happening."

Of course, the Democrats, as you pointed out did cave, didn’t shut the government down, because they knew they would be held accountable.

Thank you for the great interview. I agree that we should point out Trump‘s flaws but arguing over his morality and his convictions. It’s a waste of time. If those were gonna be effective, we wouldn’t have lost the election. The one thing he didn’t mention is the Democrat saying what they would do on a positive side. That is their problem. They have old liberal ideas on solutions and that’s why they lost the election.

Talk to John Tester about what Dems have to do to be competitive in the non-coastal West.
