Jim Jordan is not the Speaker of the House. He may never be the Speaker of the House. (I truly don’t know what will happen tomorrow.) But, Jim Jordan did something amazing today: He got 199 other Republicans to vote for him as Speaker.
While everyone is focusing on the fact that Jordan lost 20 Republican votes, I think it is absolutely remarkable — and deeply revealing — that he got as many votes as he did.
