Cristo,

I will be on the road for the next week, so I want to put forth my "Mailbag" question now.

On what planet are the "journalists" speculating that the Swanson Dinner Guy could be either a viable VP candidate for the Defendant-In-Chief, or would go against him as a GOP candidate???

Put aside that he has been sacked by the three major cable outlets (not good resume items) and that his beliefs are antithetical to sentient voters, but just listening to his voice and forced cackle makes one yearn for Wannabe Mussolini's reading of "The Art of The Deal".

He'd fit in very well on Russia Today.

That, or as a "free agent rabble rouser", a la Dan Bongino or Alex Jones.

RE: "My guess is he takes some time off but that we haven’t heard the last of Carlson as a voice in the political debate in this country."

And what a horrific voice that is.

My name for Tucker is "Stinky Cheese" Not that I think he has body odor, but he always looks like he is smelling something that has gone bad.

Stick your finger into a glass of water, remove your finger, is there a hole left in the water? Nope? That means you can be replaced. That is one of Fox News' core principles, the talent can be replaced and the show will go on. Soon Tuck will be forgotten. Does anyone remember Bill O’Reilly?

Good synopsis of both why the Murdochs fired Carlson, and what his next option might be.

I doubt he can stay out of the public spotlight very long, he needs that attention just as much as his buddy (at least publicly) Donnie the Fraud. Retirement is not on his horizon yet.

He will likely want to be disruptive to Fox but picking a fight with the Murdochs is dangerous. With their wealth and media clout they can fight back in many dimensions.

Can’t wait to see the Circus unfold!

Good Riddance, Tucker. Sad! Tucker will re-emerge some where, no doubt about it. OAN, Newsmax, etc., do not have a large enough platform. Podcasts? Satellite radio? RT? Who knows where he will be. However, not that FNC will change its stripes, but to have unloaded Tucker, happy it happened. His head was way too big and had too much control over the network, in his mind at least. Another deplorable,

Thanks for writing this, Chris.

I feel every publication from 2017-2019 had some "What Happened to Tucker Carlson" story.

The recent cable ratings has FOX's "The Five" outpulling The TV Dinner Guy by a few percentage points.
