Such a great story and the start of a promising new trend for your newsletter too! I just signed up for Gabe's letter and am looking forward to being enlightened by him as well.

One recommendation I have for you, Chris, is to do a meta-post talking about your process, references, etc. Among other things, I'm a librarian by training and geek out on that kind of thing.

Awesome & inspiring story! Thank you, Chris. I subscribed to Gabe's newsletter. And yay for your intention to write a feel-good story once a week - I don't particularly feel that what you write is doom & gloom, but it's always nice to hear about some of the positives out there.

Thank you for shining this light on a terrific young civic hero. I have been subscribed to his newsletter for more than a year. He is a role model for young and old.

When I was a radio news/talkshow host eons ago in Putnam Dutchess County a woman had a once a week broadcast “Positively Good News” ergo we nicknamed POS. At times truth be told thought it a bit schmaltzy ! Her name was Nancy and your note on Gabe just reminded me. I signed up for his “pos” newsletter asap. What. Great young man and actually writing of Capitol Hill , DC. White House and Trump news. Not inane gossip and dirt. I’ve forwarded to many

Thanks for this, Chris! Amazing what's "out there" that I didn't know about. Subscribed -- and already glad I did. If you want to go even younger, there's 16-year-old Quinn Mitchell (NH rally "pest," who also has a podcast -- and writes for us at WhoWhatWhy).

First of all, another excellent sub-article in your Sub-Stack! A little bit of positivity goes a LoNg way in the midst of these black waters we are treading in on the typical news day.

It reminds of the wonderful piece Seth Meyers started doing during the Trump /Pandemic tidal wave of insanity a freaking years ago. "The Kind of Story We Need Today ". He would highlight some fantastic obscure story of someone doing something really positive or helpful in a pretty dark time and it was huge. There is also this really great lady I follow on the Tik-Toks or Insta or one of those crazy socials who I can't remember her name, but she does a positive, uplifting story every day. They are usually happy, uplifting animal stories but it is just super nice to get some non-downer brain candy to smile on. I think we ALL need this type of thing for our mental health at the moment.

Kudos on tapping this underexplored vein, I can't wait to see what future stories you highlight here!

Thanks for doing what you do, as usual, lol!
