Really, Chris??!! The worst person in the world is going to jail??!!That will be true only when Trump is behind bars!

Yes,yes, yes, as I've said here before, Trump's act is past its "sell by" date. He's still animated and funny at rallies, but he's vapid, and people have noticed that he makes the same type of grandiose promises he broke last time. He's hit his ceiling, and now that there is a vibrant opponent, Trump campaign "has fallen and it can't get up."

1. Trump fatigue has been talked about for more than a year, dating back to when he announced the current run - welcome to the bandwagon.

2. Santos is worse than Trump? Like, really Chris? I can’t stand Santos. He’s pathetic. But he did something (and whether or not he means it), that Trump never did: he took some degree of responsibility. And shall we count the number of felony convictions? Shall we count the number of credible accusations of some form of sexual assault? Shall we count the hundreds of thousands of dead Americans because of a botched response to COVID? Don’t think Santos has any of those. And I could go on. So yes, Santos is not one of the good ones, but he can’t hold a candle to Trump.

I realize that some of this is just flip intro lines, but they do have an effect on credibility after awhile.

Trumps act IS old and tired. Even the folks on Truth Social seem less boisterous. (I get called far less nasty things now than in the past, haha ). It seems that maybe one can only listen to the same, rehearsed schtick so long before even the most diehard of fans look for a new,and fresher act. This feels like it could be the beginning of the end of our 9+ year national nightmare. Lets hope.

George Santos is not a worse person than Trump. Not even close. Not even in the same stratosphere. Santos is a strange, deluded man, with some kind of mental illness that is causing him to do crazy things. But he did take responsibility for his actions, pleaded guilty, and is accepting the consequences. Trump is malevolent, wants to hurt people, cares only about himself, and has never accepted responsibility for anything in his life. There's a type of mental institution here in Texas, an institution for the criminally insane. Trump belongs there.

We often forget that political figures like Joe Biden are human beings. Of course, there is a sadness and likely, an anger he feels that friends, allies, and others looked at the numbers and said he probably couldn't win in November and he should withdraw. Those factual statements, especially from friends and political allies, had to hurt. Like all grief, the pain of being continuously being asked to withdraw from the 2024 race will never completely go away for Joe Biden. But he seems to be in the process of accepting that loss and moving on with his life.

I agree that Joe is still pissed. Lots of dissing of Nancy and Barack for their roles in getting him to step aside. But they were doing the right thing and I believe they only went public when Joe refused to see the handwriting on the wall. It wasn’t a lack of loyalty to Joe. It was good friends telling him what was in his and the party’s best interests.

You changed your background on your video! Swapped the decanter and glasses (a greenish set) for a vintage typewriter. I like it!

I enjoyed reading your comments about Donald Trump and Biden's feelings. One of the things that Trump has said one to many times is how he admires leaders who rule their country "with an iron fist." As a teacher, Ilearned to listen carefully when a student told me something, because what people say is either true or it's telling you something about the person. Donald Trump wants to bring America to a country he controls with..."an iron fist." Last night at the convention, I saw Nancy Palosi in the audience. I have lost a lot of respect for her, because she went on CNN to bad mouth Biden. The democrats should never have gone public with their concerns; they needed to do it behind the scenes and allow Biden to appear to make the decision on his own.

The sad reality is that the Trump of 2024 is nothing more than a repeat of Trump 2020, which was a repeat of Trump 2016. Established products often roll-out a "new and improved" version to remain relevant in the marketplace. Trump 2024 is the same product as Trump 2016, just older and slower, with an obsolete and error-prone speech module, and lacking any expansion slots.

Go stand in line for hours for a Trump rally and see if there is Trump fatigue (btw, it takes ALL day so you’ll have lots of time to contemplate)

It's often the same people going multiple times. It's entertainment. Lot's of people follow the Dave Matthews Band from city to city. It doesn't make him the most popular or best musician. Reasonable people remember that Trump's term was chock full of chaos and broken promises. They no longer believe his hollow rhetoric.

Love that you wrote about Target a week before I am going to Minneapolis. I am tempted to visit the first Target.
