You are right about the DJT stock. I’ve watched it since the beginning and wondered (I am a retired Senior Vice President at a major Wall Street firm) where the hell is the SEC and state regulators? This company has no reason to trade at these prices…it’s all hype and insider trading. Keep watching. Trump needs the money to pay Letitia James, and any sign that he is selling will expose the scam and crater the stock. You’ll see.

Good points. The DJT stock is a fraud in broad daylight. The "biz" ( if you can call it that) has scant revenue, few assets, significant debt, and big losses. On 8/9, it reported a net loss of $16mm for the Q and revenue of 800k, down 30% from the py period. It's another Trump scam, only this one will likely cost his flock more than a pair of tacky sneakers . The NYSE and SEC should be ashamed.

No offense, but anyone looking to the political betting markets as a predictive tool is a moron and doesn't understand what they are or how they work. Only one of the markets allows betting by Americans. That means that Polymarket and the rest are all foreign influenced. One French dude made a $45 million dollar bet that moved a whole market. What unique insight into the American electorate do we think he has?

Those markets have extremely low liquidity, so relatively small amounts of money move them in big ways. They are also subject to market washing, which means that a number of transactions get made by the same trader to try and simulate a volume of activity. This would be illegal in an actual stock market, but in an unregulated market like these stupid political futures markets, any moron can get away with it. Most of these markets can be meaningfully moved for the price of an average mid-price sedan. Lastly -- go look at their history of accurate prediction. They almost always get it wrong. They had Hillary beating Trump and Trump beating Biden. The whole thing is stupid. It is basically a way for some political people to help a campaign, but also be able to write the investment off as a loss if it goes south.

This one made me pause and realize I can not wait for this election to be over no matter who wins!

I've been following the Truth Social thing but I don't honestly think it's any more predictive than the betting markets because it's basically a meme stock. The people buying or selling don't really know any more than the rest of us. Either way, we'll know in a few days. But given that X is in the hands of Musk, the need for a 'conservative' alternative to the former Twitter no longer exists.

That's interesting about Truth Social. I just finished the new Three Pines book. It's wonderful! I hope you get time to read it soon!

Love the idea. But I think this stock is going down because the company is not worth anything.

Uh...according to this post, it's worth 4.6 Billion with a 'B." It's worth whatever people will pay for it. Dropping rapidly but still...

Also, if Trump wins, he might go back to twitter (X) - lots more folks there and that's what he used in his previous term.

Investment-wise, the TS (DJT) stock is far worse than the Gamestops of the meme world. They are real businesses with a plan and a hope for success. TS is a shadow company, designed only to satisfy one man's ego. There is no plan. And the Financials aren't good enough to even be considered a joke. If TS was owned by anyone not named Trump it would crater to near zero and would quickly be de-listed, soon to disappear.

Thanks for the illuminating insight Mike and Dark spot

I’ve watched the stock go all the way down to $12 and then back up to $57. Really

So who’s buying. Meme investors. Trump followers risk averse speculators I do think some of it could be election driven

So what happens if some good numbers people who work for Trump tells him Wednesday or Thursday that he probably won’t win

Does he dump it and tank it. Insider trading. Will the SEC show up

DJT the stock, like most everything in Trumplandia is a grift, and is being manipulated by insiders. As a company, it's fundamentals are a complete joke. Serious investors will not go anywhere this junk.

Sorry Chris, tell your GOP contact to give their head a shake. Changes in the price of DJT are not correlated to the election. No way.

The live chat was a lot of fun today.

I second the idea someone had where you do an all sports chat or maybe one devoted to professional wrestling post-election

For 50K, you should do a video where you listen to a DMB album and record your responses.
