This is why he loves dictators like Putin and Kim, because they flatter him.

And the tie doesn't make him look thinner. It makes him look like someone who forgot to take off a lobster bib.

If Trump is some sort of fashion trendsetter, then we're all in a heap of trouble.

On a related note, just how far is Stephen Miller's head shoved up Trump's behind?

Melania looks fine. Nice choices, very haute couture. It makes Donald J Trump look even worse when he stands next to Melania..the expensive suits that he takes off the rack without a touch of tailoring and, oh lordy, his evening wear. If he thinks that baggy clothes hide his girth, he needs to think again.I wonder if he looks in the mirror before leaving his lair, and says, “yeah Don, ya hot”. Or…does Melania tell him “Donald, dahlink you look mahvelous” before they depart for an event? And what an insult to “everyday “:Americans who, even when they pay less for their suits than Don does for his Brionis, strive to look their best. Men’s Wearhouse has decent tailoring, and folks use it.

Stephen Miller is a frightening,self-hating sycophant. Or he is someone who thinks that he can gaslight America into thinking that Donald J Trump is a magnificent specimen instead of a complete sartorial and tonsorial failure.

Fashion icon? 😳🤣 I have seen overweight men look dapper and he certainly does not. What a weak little man that needs so much attention and people so far up his butt.

I can't stop laughing. We all want to hide our flaws but he does it in a way that is confrontational. He wants people to agree with him even when we all can see whatever he is saying or doing isn't the truth. His followers then just accept his lies or cover ups and make excuses. It is totally ridiculous 🙄

Fashion statement for Trump? He wears a uniform...blue suit, white shirt, slight variation of red or blue tie. That's it.

In the vast number of political cartoon relating to Trump, the cartoonist draws the red necktie at least down to floor level, but usually tacks on another 18-24 inches. Trump ties are either sartorial splendor or satirical splendor. I'll go with the latter...

"In a fight for attention, his outfit was always going to come in a distant fourth, behind his bouffant, his spray tan, and whatever last tumbled out of his mouth. "

Classic! Wherever do you find these quotes!

Chris, at the risk of being crude, here in the Deep South (Alabama) when we see a man wearing his neck tie too long (e.g. Donald Trump and Tommy Tuberville), we think "long tie, small pp"

I'm so glad you brought up the tie thing! Of all the reasons I really dislike him (and there are many), that stupid tie thing bothered me the most. Slenderizing? It just tells me he can't tie a tie.

"you look like the mobsters in those old timey- movies"

Haha. I think this every time I see myself get my tie too short.

I get his being stubborn about the tie, and he likely doesn't appreciate formality. I am now seeing this picture with the queen and cannot imagine what Her Majesty thought. It's not a fashion statement, and Midler is correct - his clothes don't fit. For an event where you are supposed to make sure to wear the proper clothes, and correctly. It's a formal event, so this is disrespectful.

I suspect that tuxedo was prepared using measurements provided by Pres. Trump or his people. Sometimes fibs matter.

I can't believe I'm going to actually write this, but here goes. A tie on a grown, elderly man with tape!!!! There I said it. Not sure my disgust shows well, but its there. His suits are the worst. Hobo wear?????

Trump has never worn a tailored anything. He buys his clothes "off the rack" and when you're a "meat sack" like he is (300 lbs? At least!), that is never going to work. As a "lady of size" I know put it, "Omar The Tentmaker is never a good look."
