"His argument is that most analysts (and people) have an incomplete understanding of what happened in the election because they are not closely examining the 19 million people who voted for Joe Biden in 2020 but did not vote for either candidate in 2024."

Where does he find these people?

I'm looking at https://election.lab.ufl.edu/2024-general-election-turnout/

and https://election.lab.ufl.edu/voter-turnout/2020-general-election-turnout/

There's 3 million fewer votes, total, cast in 2024 compared to 2020.

And there's 4 million more total eligible voters in 2024 compared to 2020.

So how could 19 million Biden voters possibly stay home? I'm still missing at least 10 million voters, assuming there are significant Biden ----> Trump switchers, with the 3 million decline,, if those 3 million were somehow all Biden voters.

The calculated turnout went from 66 ish % to 62 ish %.

3% of 244 million is about 7 million people. So where could these 12 million extra Biden non-voters come from? How many Biden--->Trump voters and Trump ----> Harris voters are there?

I'm amused by the fact that so many Dem partisans still don't want to admit that Harris sucked as a candidate. The race was certainly winnable but she blew it. They want to blame racism and sexism instead of Harris' clear failures as a candidate.

Sadly he does not say anything more in the video. Chris' summary statement above captures the whole thing.

I did take the time to read his SubStack (I got the whole post, and didn't have to pay for that one). It was a long (read "thorough") post, but I decided it was well worth my time. His take was very interesting to me.
