I enjoyed your piece about whether Iowa matters or not, since I live in the Cyclone State (I refuse to call it the Hawkeye State). I've been disheartened to see that my state, which once helped to elect Obama, has now become the middle of MAGA country. Should my wife and I move to a blue state, or should we just cover our eyes and ears every time we leave the house?

Chris, is there a point where Trump's claims of voter fraud and stolen elections falls on deaf ears? At some point doesn't it become like the "Boy Who Cried Wolf"? Or is his base that gullible that they continue to believe him although he keeps losing elections?

Chris, you have been made Presidential Primary Czar. You can change up the presidential primary process in anyway you like. Want there to be one big day where everyone votes at once? Done. Want to make it one state per day over 50 days? No problem. Don't like Iowa or New Hampshire. Move them to the back of the line. You have complete control over the entire process.

What do you do?

Chris,

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse's Supreme Court Ethics bill will face a committee vote on July 20th. If it passes the committee, passes the full Senate, passes the House (definitely not a slam-dunk), and is signed by President Biden, can the Supreme Court just declare the newly passed law "unconstitutional" on their own? Or does someone have to file a case with SCOTUS to review constitutionality (I'm sure Justice Thomas or Justice Alito would have plenty of people willing to take that step)? Is issuing a majority opinion mandatory, or can they void such a law without comment? If mandatory, I presume they would have to cite which articles/clauses make the law unconstitutional. I'd be interested in your take on the law, it's possible passage, and any aftermath.

A bit of a different question...you have commented a lot lately about your work/productivity/writing/life balance (maybe I made the last one up), have you considered incorporating some longer-format stories to allow for more in-depth reporting/commentary?

The economy is doing very well. I just think it’s risky. They should definitely embrace it since that is what they decided to do. I hope they succeed.

I watched Christopher Wray being examined by the judiciary committee and noticed that Sen. Jordan would allow some things to be submitted for the record and some not. (It seemed that if he agreed with the document he allowed it to be entered. And when he disagreed he would not allow it to be submitted.) Please explain why there was no backlash over this. Or was I wrong In my observation. And what does the record of these things matter or have an impact on anything?

Isn’t it incredibly risky for the Biden team to use the word “Bidenomics”? If the economy goes bad they’ll have an albatross around their necks.

I know Bidenomics is a double edged sword. But right now the Economy is booming . Look at unemployment rate inflation coming down stock market doing great and record job creation all due to Biden's policies. Do you think Bidenomics should be embraced wholeheartedly like Regan embraced Regeanomics?

Should the judge in Florida honor the request of Trump's criminal defense team to wait after the election in 2024 to start his trial or agree with the prosecutor to start the trial in December?

Chris - thank you, again, for this opportunity - much appreciated.

I am curious what your reaction is to Roger Stone resurfacing on planet Trump? What might Trump be leaning on the dirty trickster for? Could Trump be asking Stone to find a new narrative, true or not, in order to besmirch Joe Biden, Trump's current most likely opponent for the Presidency? Trump was impeached for the first effort (the "perfect" Ukraine call, etc.), and is still riding the Hunter Biden laptop/bribery of Joe, both productions of Roger Stone/Rudy Giuliani. And we know Stone was engaged in the Jan. 6 activities. Can we really expect nothing to come from Roger Stone being summoned to Iowa, and flying with Trump to Las Vegas?

Thank you

What are your views on Bidenomics? Looks like it's doing very well which ever it's sliced and diced. What do you think? Inflation is way down from 9 % of this time last year to 4% now. Unemployment rate is at some 50 years low. Stock Market is back up and wages are on the rise. I know it will take time for these to permeate the citizens. It will most likely be felt by the people at election period which would be another good tiding for team Biden. What do you think?

I hope that maybe after another loss, the GOP or another sensible conservative party can finally gain steam. I know you've said the pendulum will swing, but we need it to swing soon.

PS. You should do an article about GOP voters who will never again vote for DT. There has to be a good number of them.
