It’s a big week in politics! We have the second Republican presidential debate tomorrow night — 9 pm eastern! — and the possibility of the government shutting down in 5 days.
Plus, Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are trying to make political hay out of the UAW strike and there’s all sorts of conflicting poll numbers out there on the 2024 general election.
Now is your chance to ask any (and every) question on your mind. Leave your thoughts in the comments section and I’ll get to as many as I can — which is usually a lot! — on Friday.
REMINDER: Anyone in the “So What” community can ask a question. But only PAID subscribers get to see my answers on Friday.
Which makes right now a great time to become a paid subscriber! It’s only $5 a month or $50 for the whole year. It’s an investment in journalism — and me!
Thanks in advance for considering it.
I have a question about the border. The GOP would have us believe that the Democrats have the equivalent of Walmart greeters welcoming migrants across the border. I assume that isn’t the case, but it feels like the Democrats, Biden, never talk about what they ARE doing. Wouldn’t a more vocal approach at least counter that a little bit? I know there are no easy answers to this, but at least try to fight back in the messaging.
I think that if Donald Trump would have faded away after 2020 and was not running for president in 2024, that Joe Biden would have been very content to be a one-term President and retire. But since Trump is still around and running again, I feel that Biden really thinks he is the only one who could beat him again and feels he has an obligation to run. Thoughts?
