Why does the media persist in calling Rs “conservatives” and sometimes “ultra-conservative” no matter how non-conservative they are? Matt Gaetz, MGT, Ron DeSantis are NOT conservative! They may believe themselves to be populists, but they are not advocating for smaller government, lower taxes, robust foreign policy, free trade, or any other goal that used to be associated with the word “conservative.” They want to be authoritarians and punish anyone who disagrees with them. There is nothing “conservative” in trying to impeach Joe Biden for no good reason except Trump was impeached. I think by continuing to frame things in the same old construct, the media is doing most casual readers a grave disservice.

You stole my question! Indeed, why does the media call them far right or conservative? As long as they bow to whatever Trump likes they are anything but.

Chris! Can anyone help tuberville save face? Is there a way he can back away from the edge? Before he kills our military??

Or should we allow military spouses to eviscerate him on camera? Or maybe in your classroom and livestream it?

How can we move him off his dangerous stance?

When are you coming back to Uncle Benny's Table? Believe it or not, some of us miss you!

I definitely miss Chris and the rest. I would love an explanation of why TK can frequent golf courses, stores , and other sites but can't make it back to the PTI studio or the podcast one. Would love to have at least some shows with the old crew.

Please explain to all of us why the USPS is not a political issue on both sides. Postal is hemorrhaging money yet Biden leaves a controversial Trump appointee to run it. None of this makes any sense. Yet Dems are not touching it either.

Re: Biden Baggage

Chris,

Offering a query not as a troll, but as a realistic 2020 Uncle Joe voter.

In 1968, with continued negativity of the Viet Nam War, LBJ realized his negative polling ratings would not work in that year's election.

In 1973, with the legal issues mounting on Nixon, three power players in the House and Senate told him that he didn't have support going forward. Tricky Dick stepped down.

So, is it time for the Dems to (paraphrasing Sean Connery) "...bring a gun to a gun fight?"

If Dems are serious in their hand-wringing/pearl-clutching about Trump's election leading to the destruction of the Republic, then they'd confront Uncle Joe about his variety of 'issues'.

Offering Uncle Joe's side-note about John Wayne and Dog-Faced Soldiers in Hanoi will be coming to an advert near you!!

Hey Chris, How did you prep mentally to teach? Especially interested in how you are working out the butterflies. I’m a 67 year old Engineer that is perfectly comfortable presenting to a room full of peers that challenge everything, but students? For some reason it seems a bit intimidating.

Lou,

As a former teacher, allow me to offer an opinion.

Upon offering a class, the pedagogue takes a deep breath, exhales slowly, then walks into the classroom with a wide smile!!

"Good morning(afternoon/evening) class. Hope all is well so we can get down to some learning!"

It seems to me that the false electors plot ALSO relied on several members of Congress objecting to some of the slates of state electors, with the intent that Pence would either select the "faulty" electors OR, more likely, unilaterally send the vote to the House of Representatives where the rules meant that Trump almost certainly would have prevailed and become President.

My question: IF there was coordination between Trump and those Senators and Representatives, should they not ALSO have been included as co-conspirators? It certainly seemed that was what happened.

With the reports that Kirsten Walker is interviewing Trump for her first show hosting MTP, has the media not learned any lessons from covering Trump over the last 8 years? (Never mind the CNN debacle.)

I watched a DeSantis interview along with his interactions with the public. I don’t understand how he got to be at the top of his profession. He is a politician who is governor of Florida. To me, that is a huge success in a career in politics. Most politicians would kill to have that kind of success. And yet he seems terrible at it. How did he pull that off?

What will be the political fall out from the Biden impeachment in regards to the democrats? I know it’s revenge politics and a tit for tat, childish game the GOP is playing. Will it hurt the democrats in a demonstrable fashion?

Even though I think there might be merit in the 14th Amendment argument, isn't the problem with enforcing it the fact that the only States who might keep Trump off the ballot are ones like Minnesota and Colorado that Biden will win anyway? Keeping Trump off those ballots will only give credence in Trump's "rigged system" nonsense.

Why is Trump so afraid of Joe Biden? From the Zelensky “find some dirt” to Trump’s constant unhinged attacks on Biden.
