One of the things I have been thinking about a lot of late is how I can reward people who pay to subscribe to this newsletter.
I’ve dabbled in making videos just for paid subscribers. (I like this and am going to do more!) And I have a music playlist every Thursday that only people who subscribe get.
I’ve decided that, starting this Friday, I am going to make the mailbag for paid subscribers only. Which means, that while anyone will be able to ask questions of me (on Tuesday), only paid subscribers will be able to read my responses (on Friday).
This is meant solely as a thank you for paid subscribers — and, I hope, an incentive to regular readers who have not yet become paid subscribers.
Big picture, my plan is the same: I will keep the vast majority of content on the site free for the foreseeable future.
Thanks for listening and thanks for understanding.

Question for Friday:
Senator J. D. Vance, today (June 13) indicating, due to his discomfort with the DOJ, he was now, unilaterally going to hold up appointments to the DOJ, similar to Senator Tubberville's stance on DoD promotions. What can we do to help convince our elected officials to not be road blocks to the day-to-day operations of our government? (Full disclosure, I am an Ohio resident...). Thank you
I gave a fuller description of my question as a comment in response to last week's mailbag post. But, to repeat, I'd be interested in your thoughts on ranked-choice voting.
