Will the endless stream of texts and emails at least slow after Tuesday?

What are the odds the Republicans get to 52+ in the Senate. What are the odds either party gets above 225 in the House? If Harris loses, do you think Biden would consider resigning to either give us a female president (buys goodwill from the base who will be very annoyed that he selfishly decided to run)? And, if Harris wins, would Biden consider resigning to let her name her cabinet before January 3rd and get some confirmed before it gets much harder?

As an aside - appreciate what you do. I enjoy reporting without cheerleading.

They can also go the route Trump did and just have people as "acting". That bypasses the confirmation process. Definitely a loophole that needs to be fixed but I think Harris will do what she needs to do.

Suppose for purposes of my question that: (i) Kamala Harris wins the presidency, and (ii) Republicans win a Senate majority. I think it's reasonably likely that both those things will happen. President-elect Harris would then be faced with trying to get her Cabinet confirmed by a Republican Senate, with Trump still screaming in the background that Republicans must stop Harris from doing anything. BUT, there will be almost 2 months between the election and when the new members of Congress get sworn in, meaning there's still a lame duck period with Schumer and the Ds in the majority. Is there a possibility that Biden/Harris could nominate several of Harris' chosen Cabinet members and get them confirmed by Senate Democrats before the Republicans take over the majority on Jan. 3?

Of all the questions you have fielded from us this election season, what is the one that stumped you the most?

It has to be the charming question about what his walk-up music would be if he were to address one of the national conventions.

How can the large quantity of people not notice that Musk states if Trump wins, there will be stock market downturns and great suffering for the masses equaling or exceeding the Great Recession of 2008 (and this is one of Trump's supporters and someone he is saying will be instrumental in his administration), or that Trump is saying that he will let RFK JR "go wild" in health matters, or Mike Johns vowing "No ObamaCare". And this is just in the last two or three days. I feel like maybe I should take the cognitive test myself.

Hi Chris! There's been reporting about VP Harris losing support from Arab-Americans and Muslims--especially in Michigan--because of the Administration's stance on Israel/Gaza. But unless I'm missing something, Trump has essentially told Netanyahu to do whatever he thinks needs to be done (and Trump was the author of the Muslim ban in 2017). Wouldn't Harris, who has at least expressed sympathy for civilians in Gaza, be the lesser of two evils? I'm asking because I've read about some of these voters actively supporting Trump rather than just staying home. Any thoughts?

For Republicans like Adam Kinzinger, Chris Christie, or Liz Cheney — who are still conservative, but not on board with the current version of the Republican Party and its leadership — do you have any thoughts about what their future could be? What about voters with a similar mind set?

Hi, Chris, you said you would assess where things stood with your substack and youtube channel after Election Day. What does post-Election Day look like for you and the future of both platforms?

How do you square the circle when some people say "Trump is unfit for office, but I'm going to vote for him". I saw that in a USA Today opinion and have heard it in other places. Am I wrong that "unfit" means "not fit"? They never say it about Harris, just how they don't like policies.

I'll summarize my question: why exactly should we not refer to these people as dumb and garbage?

Chris - Non political question. Would you rather be an all time great quarterback with no Super Bowl rings (Marino, Jim Kelly) or an average quarterback who won a ring (Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer, Jeff Hostetler)?

If Trump does narrowly lose, what are the 3-5 things that were prime causes? I know it’s speculation, but you are good at that, one reason I subscribe and pay.

Chris, the main stream media is all over President Biden’s “garbage comment”, which is really a nothing burger. But when the WaPo runs a story this week quoting the presidents of Columbia Sportsware, Auto Zone and Stanley Black and Decker stating they will be passing the Trump Tariffs onto consumers it gets no traction. Why?

Chris, several times during this race you have stated your belief that if Trump is reelected, there are guardrails in place that will prevent him from becoming a dictator. Given all that we've seen and heard over the last few weeks - the warnings issued by Kelly and others who served under Trump, Jeff Bezos' preemptive bending of the knee, the dark tone of the MSG rally, Trump's increasing rhetoric about 'the enemy within', etc. - do you still feel confident that democracy will survive another 4 years under Trump?

Polls have undoubtedly defined the race as a razor-sharp one. Nonetheless, there are many republicans voting democrat for the first time as well as a momentum rising for the Harris campaign… why this can’t be measured in polls? And what are your thoughts on this?
