Trumps support for Putin and Russia may be the greatest act of treachery in American history. Why don't Biden and the Democrats talk about it...constantly.

Hi, Chris. As a native Nutmegger, I wanted to ask you what Joe Lieberman's legacy and impact.

Can you share more insight on what the huge difference in cash on hand for the Biden campaign versus Trump says about their support from the donor community? Has Trump lost support from political donors? Is it mostly about his legal costs? Does Biden have more support from this group? Just trying to understand more about what it’s telling us.

Chris- Is there any word on the potential punishment for a Trump conviction in the hush money case? His personal lawyer went to jail for the same crime, but there is no chance they'll send Trump to jail for this one. A fine and community service?

It appears that the first of the Trump trials will actually begin in late April. What do you think will be the outcome of that trial...acquittal or conviction? And do you think either outcome will have much of an impact on his poll numbers?

Assuming (1) Trump does not win the presidency in November and (2) most, if not all, of his existing court cases have not yet gone to trial, do you see those cases continuing on a “normal” path to conclusion or do you see them still slogged down for a while—like, maybe, years? Thanks, Chris!

When I look at a map of the US that shows red & blue states, I'm struck that with a few exceptions, the coasts are blue & middle America is red. What religious, socio economic, or other beliefs/factors contribute to what makes a state red or blue?

An unmentioned, but very real, issue is the quality of appointees a presidential candidate will attract to the cabinet and sub-cabinet positions. It has been obvious that President Biden brought, and mostly retained, high quality management and policy people who have done an excellent job steering the ship of state. Trump, in his first term, brought mostly inexperienced people, ran off the good ones, and ended with a mediocre --at best-- crew around him. His projections for a second term border on the horrifying. Why doesn't the media pay more attention to this critical aspect of being POTUS?

Hi, Chris! As the SCOTUS slow-walks it's way to the immunity question, I'm wondering if anyone will ever ask Trump, point blank, if that means that Biden can now do whatever he wants. I'd love to know how his brain(?) is processing that.

No matter how you look at it, we are much better off today as a nation and as individuals than we were four years ago in the early throes of the pandemic (credit to Trump for prolonging the misery in the early months and for getting the vaccines developed quickly through operation warp speed). Stipulating that the left and right extremes are unmovable, how can the Biden campaign effectively deliver that message to the movable voters (they have obviously failed so far).

What do you think of people who say they are going to leave the country if Trump is elected? I live in Idaho where many people I know who don’t support Trump are actually afraid to publicize it.

Recently Trump called FaceBook an 'enemy of the people'.

Is there a conflict with his social media statements and his own social media platform Truth Social as per the constitution

Article II, Section 1, Clause 7:

The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be encreased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them.

When I look back on the trajectory of Trumps rise and fall and rise, I was considering some of the inflection points. Naturally, January 6th was likely the lowest and if I look back, it seems that the Republican party was *almost* turning its back on him, evidenced by what some of the leaders, including McCarthy and McConnel had said about Trump bearing the blame for the riot. However, if there is 1 single event which turned the tide in Trump’s favour, it could be argued that it was McCarthy’s visit to Mar-a-Lago 3 weeks afterwards where he “kissed the ring” and brought Trump back into the fold. In my opinion, without that visit, it is quite possible that Trump’s arc of influence would have gone downward. Would you agree with that characterisation, or is it just too simple and easy an explanation?

With Trump's daughter-in-law part of the RNC and controlling the money, what is going to be the fallout for the state and local committees?

Hey Chris!

Long time reader, first time commentator. I’ve been thinking about your article yesterday about Trump and the RNC not investing state operations. Could this have any downstream effects in governor, Senate, or House elections?

Looking back through history, where do you think the MAGA movement started ?

Like, where did these people come from ?

H.W. Bush ? The collapse of the Automotive industry in the '80's ? Zero funding for education for rural communities ?

I just don't understand how these people don't see the Grift , and how screwed they will be without

' Obamacare'

Trump is lying to MAGA more than anyone else ! UGH.
