I know it's not nice to enjoy another's misfortunes, but when an arrogant bully gets publicly humiliated like this, it's hard not to smile.

"Two horse race"? Looks like a one horse race, the other horses just don't know it.

Hal, it's DEFINITELY a one-horse race! At least right now.

To continue the metaphor, it's a one horse race, as the other contenders seem locked into the starting gate.

I have long been of the opinion that DeSantis was doomed. The man has virtually no charm, and genuinely is not comfortable in his skin. That matters to voters, even the most hardcore MAGA-fied base expects some charisma.

DeSantis is about as appealing as a 2 week old dog turd on the lawn, that is dried, white and crumbly.

I do enjoy watching the donor class light their money on fire to support him, and while it probably won't come to pass, Jeff Roe really ought to be driven from any future political consulting, so large is the malpractice at the Don't Back Down super PAC.

Geoff, you could be less nice, yet more accurate by dropping "virtually" from your second sentence. 😉

He was elected in Florida via commercials...not a pressing-the-flesh man of the people.

I’m impatient to get to the phase where DeSantis slinks away, and we can start pretending that Nikki or Vivek have a shot.

DeSantis appears to be a truly unpleasant man with truly awful ideas. And the GOP public doesn't like him? Gee, they have slightly better judgement than I expected. But only slightly!

I don't know about that wayne Corey. I don't know anyone with good judgment still supporting a Fraudster, an insurrectionist who has been indicted with more than 90 felonies. Not in my book

Yeah, that's a valid point, Dr. Ibrahim. I stand corrected because, by golly, they do all seem to be slavishly devoted to the indicted insurrectionist. But I stand by my belief that DeSantis is a truly unpleasant man with truly awful ideas.

I would like the names of those people donating money to the Caudillo de DeSantistan.

I could pretend to be as socially-incompetent and mean-spirited as the Caudillo.

The money I reach out for from those Momos will be to work on degrading my physical mannerisms to reflect those of the Caudillo.

Do not think any 'hail mary' can save this failed campaign

Is this good or bad news for the residents of Florida - they get their Governor back?

I'm enjoying this no end! Everyone please remember - that idiot half destroyed this state in the name of this failed campaign. Florida actually seemed salvageable before DeSantis started wrecking it.

I have heard it said, as it relates to his campaign, that there are two kinds of people: People who support DeSantis for president and those who have met DeSantis.

Once thought to be a rival for Trump? Those days are long gone and couldn’t be happier. Yet, I would be ecstatic if Trump tanked, it isn’t happening. Ugh. What a shit show. DeSantis has imploded.

made a huge miscalculation that "governing" a Florida Petri dish would translate into popularity with the Repub base elsewhere. You can't outtrump DJT and the nutjobs are in control. #notacult

I think the idea that he could get to Trump's right was a MASSIVE miscalculation. Trump's appeal to those voters has nothing to do with policy and everything to do with tone.

Trump's policy seems to be own the libs and we'll all be rewarded with manna and fairy dust.

And unicorns. I forgot the unicorns.

But not the rainbow unicorns, cuz you know about them.

And the fairy dust is manly hetero fairy dust.
