Even with her marbles rattling around in disorder, she’s far less dangerous to our country than Sens. Hawley, Cruz and Scott. Let her be.

She should resign if she wants to give a candidate in the upcoming election a boost (assuming she works out a deal with the Gov to appoint the person she/her team want).

I am one of senator Feinstein’s constituents and I respect her for what she has accomplished throughout her long career in public service. But I agree—it’s time for her to step down.

If what has been reported is true, it is time for her to step down. With that being said, it can’t be easy for her or her staff and she wants to go out on her terms. She has been a force to be reckoned with and commend all that she has done, but it’s time. Another 2 years is an awfully long time, figuring her term would be ending in 2025.

Not fair to her constituents for her to stay

No one wants Newsom to appoint a 2nd Senator. Newsom's choice would be completely about Newsom's ambition. A man who was married to Ms. Guilfoyle cannot be trusted to do the right thing. It was tragic that she refused to step aside in 2018. Let it be; this last embarrassment is fitting for her, the California Democratic Party and her costituents: failure to act is failure.

Sadly, it's time even if she is reluctant to admit it... however, as many will agree from experience on a similar topic, "Have you ever had to ask your Mother to stop driving?" It's not easy, but I wish I had before it was too late......

Katie Hobbs or Adam Schiff would open a House seat. Would that also be a Newsome appointment or a special election?

She really should resign before her faculties go.
