This is awesome Chris! The line, "the type of analysis that drove some people nuts when Cillizza was on CNN", struck me because I didn't realize you did drive people nuts. You were my favorite contributor on CNN, which is why I tracked you down to your Substack. You have achieved a lot in the past 18 months through sheer hard work - don't neglect to take time to relax and enjoy your continuing success, and thanks for continuing to usher us through each new door you open.
I should have also mentioned that I'm a lifelong sports fan (my sons are both high school baseball coaches), and truly believe sports can teach kids so many lessons they can use throughout life.
Good for you, Chris! You're tailor-made for this show. Glad to know you'll continue producing on your Substack and YouTube channels. Life wouldn't be the same without you and your awesome perspective.
Congratulations! I was excited and happy to see you on Scripps and glad that things keep getting better. You work your butt off and you deserve it. Thank you for your great work. I've been a fan since your WaPo days.
Sounds like an interesting concept ; best of luck with it. I read your book. I liked it a lot, but the image on Nixon bowling alone is the one that sticks with me . When show starts let us know how we might find it
Congratulations. That's great news and, as a longtime freelancer, I appreciate that it can take a number of gigs happening together to make a career.
That said I have zero interest in sports. Let me know if you do an interview with a politician who feels the same way and doesn't feel the need to play at one or root for the home team.
Chris, I'm very happy for your multi-gig niches that you've built for yourself. I'm a very happy subscriber to So What. I'm happy that you're passing on your knowledge to and receiving feedback every week from political journalism students about the evolving media environment in which Americans live. I'm more of an occasional take, but mostly leave it consumer of sports. I watch the Olympics every two years. I have nostalgic ties to the NCAA March Madness and NBA which was my first introduction to enjoying watching pro sports on TV as well as my Big 10 alma mater's men's football and basketball teams. However, I was in the Marching and Pep Squad Bands so the sports was an ancillary interest. The women's March Madness featured more exciting rivalries. I love the competitiveness and appreciation of each other by Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. So, I look forward to your sharing your forthcoming episodes. Will you seek to interview Colin Allred if he beats Ted Cruz? I may or may not watch, but I'm glad that you're doing the show. Are there any women Senators or Members of Congress with backgrounds in competitive sports?

Congrats! This sounds like a very cool opportunity for you.
Yay! So happy for you. I can't wait to see where this goes.
Congratulations, Chris! You had a major professional setback but it's inspiring to see how you've dusted yourself off and are now thriving.
I hope there's a way for those of us not in the DMV to watch
Sounds interesting, Chris! The anecdote about Nixon is so appropriate.

Exciting! How does one subscribe to this program/network?
