CNN just hosted a Trump rally. They took his BS out of the dark on Truth Social and fed it to the general public as being relevant. They normalized his BS. Almost every headline I read today is about what a disaster the town hall was except on CNN. They are now just like Fox news. Tomorrow the CNN headline will no doubt be about un-sexy green M&Ms

I believe he would end the war in one day. He'll call in airstrikes on Ukraine and hand it to Putin on a silver platter.

trump loved surrendering to Putin even more than he loved surrendering to China, NK, and the Taliban.

I was thinking the same thing...............

“People that are rich, people that are powerful, they tend to do pretty well in a lot of different ways, okay?”

Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Donald Trump. Yeah, he has a point.

My biggest question on his comments re: the Carroll judgement is, if he continues to defame her, can she sue him again? I really hope the answer is yes, because I’d just love to watch a serial rapist bankrupt himself due to his inability to STFU about it.

I was wondering the same!

It's a good question that, unfortunately. Ido not know the answer to.

Ms. Carroll could bring a new defamation lawsuit against Mr. Trump based on his recent comments, experts said.

“He doesn’t get carte blanche to defame her because she sued him once and collected and won,” said Stephen Gillers, a legal ethics professor at New York University School of Law.

Thank you both! The shadenfreude of him being sued *again* would be enough to live off of for a lifetime 🤣

Now that we've seen the special, I would love to get your thoughts on whether in the end CNN made the right call to air it and how you feel it went from their side.

I think the big issue is it's almost impossible to fact check him in real time, no matter how hard Kaitlin Collins tried, and giving him home court advantage was a mistake.

TBH once Trump continued with the 2020 nonsense, they should've just ended the special right then and there. Or pretaped it.

Like both your proposals.

CNN was playing with fire---they wanted to pull FOX viewers, which it did...but those viewers will never be back, unless the Secessionist-In-Chief is on for another special.

CNN has spent the last 2 years trying to become Fox.

Chris wrote, he picked out " the lines you need to see." No! No, I don't need to see them. They were predictable, dishonest and an embarrassment (bigly!) to Chris' former employer. I'm a shareholder in the company that owns CNN these days and I am, frankly, horrified that they would promote and broadcast that spectacle. It is time for another -- quick! -- change in CEOs at CNN. Licht should be out of there today.

Trump was asked whether he had ever showed classified documents he took from the White House to other people. Not exactly a confidence-inspiring answer!

Yeah, that seemed like more of a yes or no question.

"...they found millions of votes on camera, on government cameras, where they were stuffing ballot boxes.”

Here's the thing, then President Trump --- if "they" found millions of votes on, 'government cameras' why didn't you as the Chief Executive for the next almost 70 days have the Executive branch minions checking the cameras to PROVE there was ballot box stuffing?

You had the arsenal of the military intelligence analysis at your command to PROVE your fever-brained allegations.

“I said, you owe me votes because the election was rigged. That election was rigged.”

Yes, I remember when Trump said he was “owed” extra time during the Mueller investigation which makes me think if he’d won in 2020 he wouldn’t be willingly leaving in January 2025. And if he wins in 2024 he won’t willingly leave at the end of 4 years.

On the plus side, if he loses next year, Republicans already have their candidate for 2028.

I believe January 6th had the largest mob of domestic terrorists urged on by a U.S. president to attack the U.S. Capitol.

I am so over all of this. I truly do not want to be an ostrich with my head in the sand but can not stomach this man, 500+ days before the election. Ugh. I want to know what is going on in this world but we are already inundated with Trump. I did not watch last night, no way in heck am I watching anything about this disgrace of a man. I don’t believe that he should be covered by the MSM as just another presidential candidate, we are in 2016 all over again. I thought it was bad in 2016 but many in the country didn’t know about him and he was a candidate. Everyone should be well acquainted with this disgrace of the orange man child. NO way should he be live on any platform. The headlines this morning were unanimous, it was awful, worse than expected.

“This is rigged deal. This was a -- my lawyer said, sir, you don't have to do it.”

I thought his lawyer said he’d quit if Trump testified. No word on whether he included a “sir.”

“I think it -- I think it's frankly important to do that, but a lot of people are, you know, against that -- a relatively small -- relatively small number, but the way I -- the way I look at it.”

I trust the GOP is going to continue to find out how “small” that number is for a long, long time.
