President Joe Biden came to northern Virginia for a fundraiser on Tuesday night — and offered up a(nother) explanation for his poor performance in last week’s debate.
The problem? The calendar. Biden returned from Europe on June 15. The debate wasn’t until June 27. That’s 12 days. To recover from jet lag to a trip to Europe.
I get a day or two. But 12? Not plausible.
The bigger issue here is that Biden and his team can’t seem to settle on an excuse for how bad he was in the debate. First it was that he had a cold. Then it was that he was over-prepared by staff. And now: Jet lag.
