Can you imagine telling the founding fathers that any means of transportation would need close regulation? Somehow, the development of automobiles WITH regulation did not destroy the Republic
And this is exactly why it’s pointless to try to engage these gun radicals in their terms. And why the structure of our Constitution is failing us. The majority’s voice too often does not prevail, and contrary to what these right wing ideologies posit, this is not what our founders wanted
