There's no question that the "just asking questions" thing has grown more and more prevalent in American politics -- and, as you point out, the broader culture. It's prevalence doesn't make it any less dangerous but...
Do you think Tucker started the “just asking questions,” or he just lifted it from someone else?
Even RFK Jr. Got into the act with his “ Did you know Hank Aaron took the COVID vaccine and died two weeks later?” We all know the implication (coincidence, I think not!), even though he doesn’t come out and say it.
You would think that Vivek's missteps would hurt him, but in today's GOP I'm not sure that it will. He might even go up in the polls. Sadly, this is the world we live in today.
Iam not surprised at all at his views. After all he has embraced Donald Trump who is also a Conspiracy Theorist. Both of them are LOSERS. May be he and Trump should go to Russia and stay with Dictator Putin
9/11 aside, Vivek has also said that we have aliens at Area 51, and when he’s president, he wants to put one in his cabinet. If that’s not disqualifying enough, then I don’t know what is.
He’s obviously entered MTG territory. Next he’ll provide the data and evidence that there really are Jewish lasers from space that started the California wildfires. He probably went with Giuliani to Venezuela to personally meet with Chavez, to get his proof.
Honestly, I think he’s be more suited for a straitjacket than the Oval, but hey, what do I know!...:)
For what it’s worth, Ramaswamy is not Trump, so this type of misstep will bring him down a notch, rightly so. Trump could say the same thing and the GOP look the other way. Ramaswamy may have inched up in the polls but it’s not long lasting. He may or may not be a viable candidate in the future, now is not the time.
I agree. I think Ramaswamy was coming into the debate with real momentum and this storyline -- which the moderators will DEFINITELY ask about -- slows that momentum at least somewhat.
I also think his comments (and the campaign's response to them) means there is going to be a lot more digging by the media into Ramaswamy's background and past statements.
Agreed, he’s the flavor of the month, but once the media starts investigating, he’ll land in the same dustbin of history as DeSatan. Trump gets away with it because he owns luxury properties and was a reality tv billionaire. In real life, not so much...:)
Spot on. The guy is a loose cannon and not very smart. Don't get taken in by charisma and no smarts!!! Very few candidates have both. Take smarts any day.
Hmmm, maybe I spoke too soon when I listed him in response to your other column as being (I thought) on Trump's "short list" for the VP position. Then again, as we all know, Trump does love him some conspiracy theories.................
Ramaswamy and the rest of the Silly Con Valley bros need to be stuffed in seabags and thrown of the Oakland end of the Bay Bridge - that's the part of the bay deep enough for the USS Enterprise (CVAN-65, not the starship you idiots) to get into Alameda NAS back in the day.
He's not a serious candidate. He's just running to boost his book sales, get his name out there and became a FOX News contributor/FOX News host at best.
Besides the holocaust, there isn’t a topic easier to not get wrong than 9/11.
One would think.
It's the Rogan Effect. Just asking questions. "Hey, thinking about those eggs. Are you sure they didn't come out of that rooster's ass? Just sayin'".

Also the "Tucker Carlson Effect".............

Wait… you must not have heard the latest about the lasers!
I didn’t, do please tell?...:)
He’s an unqualified screwball vanity candidate. One Trump is more than enough.

Ha! You are totally right.

Wow...is he for real. To take such an American and worldwide event and speak out like this. Amazing and very sad.
He will probably go up in the polls.
