Amen! You're right it doesn't change anything. I wish the US media wouldn't hype the Trump circus so much with their propaganda. Both left and right. The collective Trump obsession in the US is so tiresome.
Trump is indicted. It is actually a very simple felony charge if you can prove that Trump did it in furtherance of another crime. What crime? The Trump Org. was already convicted of tax fraud. That is the other crime that escalates this misdemeanor to a felony. If this is true, then this case is a slam dunk. The hard part, the original crime, has already been proven. And the timeline is telling, Bragg did not restart this case until he had already won the tax fraud case. At that point, these charges became... inevitable. You don’t need a legal degree to make the connection between falsifying business records and tax fraud.
I agree, it changes nothing politically. He has his supporters and they will stick with him, won’t believe charges, it’s a crooked system, etc. etc., etc.. With that being said, I do think that he has lost some independents that may have taken a chance on him in 2016, possibly stuck by in 2020 but now won’t vote for him. However, I do not think this indictment is what may have caused them to leave his side. I think it is just Trump fatigue, in general. I can’t fathom how he wins in 2024, yet I know it’s a possibility as so many of us didn’t think he could possibly win in 2016. I do not write him off, he can make a comeback. I am so tired of listening to anything about Trump. What I am finding tiring as well, is the medias coverage of Trump. Yes, he was a candidate so cover him, 2020 a sitting president, now a former president and candidate. Good Lord, where and when does it end? He sucks the life out of everything, a liar, a despicable human being, etc, yet the media covers him as if he’s God. I suppose if people stopped watching, coverage may slow down, I don’t know. After being indicted on Thursday, no new news until today and yet, the coverage was out of control. I am sure it is hard for to make that distinction as a candidate and former president, but amplifying every move he makes, every utterance he says, is going to backfire. He gets what he wants, he controls the narrative and sucks people back in.
I am so tired of Donald Trump.

Crushing opposition parties is just another step in the domestic color revolution playbook: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/how-to-execute-a-color-revolution

1. It will change the attitude of the mentally competent, who may have thought presidents are immune to the rule of law.

I'm curious what happens to independents when there are further indictments.
