Having these octogenarians in both parties running the country is nuts.
Feinstein can't figure out where she is on a vote,
Grassley (soon to be 90) is now guilty of total honesty as evidenced by him admitting they're going after Biden even if there's no evidence of wrong doing.
Age is all relative, but the president 80 looking to serve until 2029 and the senate minority leader being 81 with a term ending in 2027 is really concerning.
Our levers of power definitely have an aging problem and I'm not sure what can be done to address it besides younger people running and getting elected.
I agree. That blank stare of nobody home is huge indicator SOMETHING was wrong. My hubby had Tia in November and I watch for signs of another like a hawk. Hes not 81 not a Senator either! 🤗
I’ve been in the room while someone had a stroke before. It’s a scary thing even when it’s not someone you’re really close to, that period of time where someone is just visibly tuned out of reality. I’ve seen some social media people mocking it as “Glitch McConnell,” and while I’m no fan of him and I’ve literally Photoshopped him to look like Palpatine... this is still kind of sad to see. The guy needs to get checked out. Death beats us all once, but we only have to let it beat is once.
A few months after brain surgery in 2015, I developed aphasia and would sometimes struggle with language. It was the result of significant brain trauma, of course, and I was on anti-seizure meds for 18 months. My episodes only lasted for a few seconds but they felt like my brain was whirring for a minute. I was aware that I was struggling during my episodes. I wonder if McConnell was aware.
Robert Reich said in a column yesterday that he had suffered a similar situation when speaking to an audience several years earlier when he was speaking to an audience
A doctor in the audience suggested t could be a grand mal seizure and suggested he should see a neurologist
It is very concerning. Not sure what the answer is to the aging in government but when seeing signs like this, it is worrisome. My mom had quite a few mini strokes and then a big one hit. Then several years later, a hemorrhagic stroke. Clearly something happened to Mitch, whether or not it is serious or not, it should be checked out and the public has a right to know. The episode happened on camera, we all know it happened. Be transparent.
Hands down he had a “neurological” event!! He’s not Ok now just because he came back to the podium looking fine. For my money, this is not the first time it happened. But these “old” politicians are loath to tell us of their medical issues that could make us question their ability to do their jobs. Staying in power outweighs all considerations of what’s best for their constituents and America. PS - looking at you Senator Feinstein (should have resigned a couple years ago IMO.)
This is getting ridiculous.

Fetterman, Harris, and the squad are younger but just as braindead as Feinstein, McConnell, Biden, etc. Lord help us.
Brain dead? Really? That’s a terrible word to use in some sort of “humorous” way. Shame on you.
Evidence?
Your eyes?
Troll?
“Nor am I one of the most powerful politicians in the country (yet!).”
I trust any announcement will come first on substack.
This is just what I was thinking! 😊
Was hoping you would address this, Chris!

Love the “yet” on you being a powerful politician. Who knows? 😊

Not a doctor, but I’m intimately familiar with Parkinson’s. That’s my “diagnosis.”
WOW!!
In what other industry would a barely functioning elderly employee be allowed to continue NOT doing his or her job?

A petit mal episode. Gran mal is a full on epileptic fit.

I will start a new conspiracy! Maybe it was Aliens!!! :) I am being facetious of course. :)
Or are you? :)
