You're right that he can't be ignored, but neither should the media be diplomatic about what he is. How about a truthful headline like this: Trump Still Whining About Election He Lost? Or, Liar Trump Tries to Evade Responsibility for his Own Actions? Or, Acting Like a Petulant Three-Year-Old, Trump Has Hysterical Meltdown on His Failing Social Media Service?

I know it won't happen, but that's only because the mainstream media thinks objectivity means not stating the obvious.

The issue isn't whether to cover or not cover Trump. The issue is one of focus. Here is Trump's pattern. Trump/Trump Administration does something scandalous. Media starts covering it. Trump tweets "Many white nationalist skinheads are really fine people." Media stops covering scandal, focusing on tweet. Trump wins.

If the Republicans manage to nominate Trump, they will have proven that they no longer merit recognition as a major mainstream political party. Not only should the media ignore him, but so should the Democratic nominee.

He can't be ignored, but the hyperventilation by MSM types every time he utters yet another lie and/or stupid comment is something I could do without. He feeds off of that and his base actually welcomes it.

I agree trump can’t be ignored. But can the press please stop giving him air for every thing he does? Can the press start challenging his lies? Can the press stop treating him like a normal candidate?

He has overstayed his welcome by thirty years. What I would like to see is a serious psychological analysis of why the average supporter of the MAGA Messiah continues to abide his lies, histrionics, attention seeking and showboating. He is so SICK. The people who still support him are just as sick in my view.

Ok, so write about Trump, and also something else. He shouldn't suck up all the oxygen in the room. Other stuff matters, too.

I hear you, Chris and point taken. However, the coverage of every single utterance, “truth” social post, rally, is getting exhausting. He needs to be fact checked, he needs accountability to what he says. However, MSM seems to cover him with an exclusion of most everything else. Yes, he’s the heir apparent to the GOP nomination, a former president, but MSM seems to bend to his will as most of the GOP does. I am hoping that what happens is that the coverage swings the independents and undecideds (can’t believe there would be any) away from Trump. I have had enough of all of this.

I will add that politics should be country over party, looking at you GOP. However, to a certain extent MSM should put the country before ratings. Wall to wall coverage of Trump lying, cheating, despicable human being to get ratings/money is not right.

Yeah, pretending he doesn’t exist doesn’t seem like much of an option.

There’s a nice schadenfreude aspect to it all, tho. I take joy wherever I can find it. Probably 90 some odd percent of Congressional Republicans want him to go away even more than I do. At least I’m not wishing for his demise like some of them reportedly are.
