Adderall.

The records from the White House pharmacy are proof positive that someone in the first Trump term was taking Adderall like no tomorrow. It was one of the top drugs they were doling out from 2017 through 2021.

I have been thinking about the speed with which things are happening. He has underlings either controlling him and setting an unwise pace or there is a drug or medical problem. It can’t be diagnosed from afar but I’ve been concerned. His handlers should have a competent medical doctor evaluate but I doubt that will happen. Or at least we won’t be told. Who is going to be willing to be truthful with a man who can ruin them if he doesn’t like the result? And then there is DOGE. An abuse of power that needs addressing by Congress and quickly.

I'm glad somebody finally said it!

I've been sreaming this for years!

As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, I was so looking forward to this Sunday's Super Bowl.

Now I hear old orange blabbering fat ass is going to be there because of course he is, wouldn't want to mis an opportunity to bring attention to himself.

Can we ever, even for just four hours, get some respite?

I hope the crowd boos the 💩 out of him!

guarantee the Philly people will!

Is it weird to publicly congratulate a birth weeks after the birth and announcement? Or to congratulate at 1am?

Expand full comment

Yes. It's weird.

He's just starting to focus on the Super Bowl. Trump plans to attend and doesn't want the stadium to be flooded with boos when he's announced. No doubt he'll find something nice to say about Philly, too.

It makes you wonder what substances he may be taking or if he’ll have a stroke somewhere in all this mess. But no matter how you look at it Mr. Trump likes to be seen and he likes to hear himself talk. He likes to know that he’s the center of attention.I don’t personally watch any of him on TV or even pictures make my stomach turn over.

Methinks that Chris is exactly who I thought he was....a Trump fanboy. He started as a reporter just innocently asking about the wonders of Donny. Now he's simply performing as his publicist.

Expand full comment

I don’t think it is in good faith to call Chris a “Trump fanboy”. He is critical and calls out crazy when crazy happens.

Expand full comment

No. I really believe he is trying to stay with facts and the story. By doing so, he will attract a larger audience.

You may very well be correct.

At least one staff member on The Apprentice stated for a fact that he snorted Adderall.

Hope he wears himself out, sooner rather than later. I can’t listen or look at him.

saying it again: the President having unfiltered social media access is a very bad thing

The key is unfiltered. The media has to start calling a lie a lie!

we can only hope the pace catches up w/ him. he lives and breathes for lawsuits and lying, but maybe the other "l" word will do him in, lungs.

Chris,

Many years ago i read a book about the serial killer, Ted Bundy. in it, one of the authors identified that keeping a suspect awake oftentimes produced results as people get tired and can't focus. but not Bundy! if bundy was allowed to talk he derived energy from the situation and could buffalo the police. I am not saying Trump is a psychopath, I am saying that he is like Bundy, he derives energy from the ability to perform. I say this with some confidence because i am the same. being in front of people, talking (dancing, i am a professional dancer/educator) gives me a fantastic jolt of energy.i literally could do it all day and night. I think folks have already identified this with Trump, he needs the oxygen, deny him the oxygen and he will wither on the vine. He has been amazingly successful in making himself the center of attention and in his position as President there is no chance we can ignore him. I think you will see that he is even "more' Alive than he was even a yr ago. Can he keep it up? he can't NOT keep it up. Will he make mistakes? sure! but his group seems to see these as his secret sauce, loving him even the more for it. Honestly, i have no idea how to turn the tables

Independents need to take a page from Andrew Cuomo’s playbook. During Covid, governor Como affectively held daily news briefs that were factual and unifying for the whole nation. I never missed any of his Press conferences.

Can we find a spokes person for us to do that function? I would nominate Chris Como from NewsNation as a very unbiased and acceptable spokesperson for constructive discussion.

You might have misunderstood what I was trying to say. I think Chris Cuomo would be the perfect spokesman for presenting in a news conference-type venue, The daily Review would bring the audience up-to-date on the status of executive orders, law suits, congressional actions, etc. I mention Andrew Because the Venue was very effective at communicating facts without political bias.

Well Chris didn't do very well with the private advice to his brother

But in today's environment that's nothing

I think you may be vastly overestimating how much he cares about making mistakes...

Also, as far as he is concerned, he doesn't make mistakes. Other people do. Low IQ people. Losers. He takes every side of every issue, so that he is always right, or he was just kidding, or we didn't understand what he meant.

I am also beginning to believe that sleep deprivation and a lifetime of cheeseburgers and overcooked steaks is our best bet to save Constitutional Democracy, because it sure as hell isn't Senate Republicans.

The problem with that, and I do agree with most of it, is that we get Vance for 8 years. He young focused and evil. That could be even worse.

Expand full comment

There is no cult devoted to JD Vance. The GOP hopefuls for 2028 would eat him alive. No GOP Senator would hesitate to vote against a JD Vance initiative, no matter how closely he tried to tie it to a supposed Trump agenda.

I’m not so sure. Depends on his brain too. Two of seven family members I cared for (with dementia) were like that. They’d be up for days on end, rambling through drawers and closets, killing spiders and mice (in Trump’s case, his enemies), throwing things, breaking windows, goes on and on. I’m just waiting for him to go into a deep bout of psychosis that they can’t hide. If that occurs, we’ve seen nothing yet.
