Everyone should question everything they previously thought was true. It’s a unicorn election. As Chris pointed out. It’s very possible that Iowa, Texas and Florida are all in play. Senators Cruz and Scott are both polling under 50% and within 5 points of their Democratic competitors. What’s not unique with this election is the Obama level enthusiasm that Harris is generating. If this trend plays out, there are red states not classed as swing that are probably competitive. Democrats shouldn’t presume that ANY STATE is un winnable. Republicans would love you to think that red states are out of reach to discourage you from voting. DON’T FALL FOR IT. In my opinion, the sunbelt states where woman hold away with their families voting behavior will have considerable influence as they support a woman’s right to choose. This is the path I believe Harris will be successful with.
As for the conspiracy theories about Trump’s ear and yesterday’s assassination attempt, it serves no value but models Trump’s own behavior. So it’s to be expected and part of US politics now. Real time fact checking is in its infancy.

Yes, it's unlikely that Iowa is in play. But the potential significance of the Selzer poll is whether it's a harbinger of the type of movement we may see in legit swing states after Harris demolished Trump in the last debate.

This news out of Iowa just serves to highlight what an albatross the electoral college truly is. Instead of both candidates working to win as many voters as possible in Iowa to improve their overall vote total, it's still not close enough for either of them to bother. Win the state by 1 vote or 1 million, you still get all the electoral votes, and the votes for the losing candidate might as well go right in the trash. Jamie Raskin was right--when other countries are modeling our democracy, the one piece they never adopt is the electoral college because they know it's not democratic at all.

But there were no doctors reports and no police reports about an injury to his ear, just comments by that totally unbelievable Dr Ronnie and from his campaign. And mere days later his ear showed absolutely NO EVIDENCE of any injury!! That needs to be questioned, needs to be investigated, needs to be explained.
That lack of any injury just makes it look like he is milking the incident and lying about being injured by the gun shots. He just as easily could have been scratched by a wrist watch on one of the secret service who piled on top of him.
Dismissing that lack of any injury just because political violence is wrong is nonesense. He gets a pass on nothing, because he lies about every thing.

North Carolina population is over 10 million and growing. I didn’t check any other states. How carefully was this map vetted?
