I agree that AOC's speech was powerful and well-delivered. But I think you overlooked the other powerhouse speech last night from Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. If you didn't see it, it's on YouTube.

Yes! Crockett was outstanding.

RFK Jr. is an abject clown. As he peddles his meager influence to Trump in exchange for a slender reed of relevance, he is dragging his family name through the mud. Let’s hope the damage he is causing is limited to reputations rather than helping Trump win another term.

I still have not figured that guy out. I had Trump pegged as actually, factually being mentallty ill around 2017, but is that the case with RFK Jr.? I honestly wonder about the whole brain worm thing, added to the story about the dead bear in Central Park. I was still pretty immature in my 20s, and I would have thought the bear was hilarious. I might have done the same thing myself, again in my 20s. But even then I would be like, "Why is this 60-year-old dude doing this?" and probably would not vote for him. Pretty sure, thinking back. So it seems he's immature, just like Trump. Stuff like thinking that groping women was ever okay outside of the club, and only while dancing.

If you haven't , read Clare Malone's article re RFKJr in the 8/5 New Yorker. He's had a troubled and troubling life. He shares many traits with Trump. He's largely driven by grievance. He has said his campaign was motivated in part by the perception that the Biden admin censored him. (They didn't. They instead pushed back on his anti-vaxx BS). Also like Trump, he has a distant and antagonistic relationship with the truth.

In his quest for relevancy he will sell his soul to the devil. Trump will do anything to stay ahead.(and stay out of jail)

No stupider human on earth than Chris Clitoris.

Trump is weak. Harris is not. Adopting RFK Jr makes him look weaker.

I will assert here that RFK JR endorsing will not stop Harris from defeatING Trump in November. RFK's supporters were people who didn't want Trump or Biden in the first place. That's why most of them flocked to Harris when Biden stepped down. You see his (RFK's)poll numbers dropped drastically immediately after Biden dropped out and Harris poll numbers significantly improves. RFK's left over supporters are not going to vote for Trump regardless of what RFK says. That's that. They have no incentive to vote for an aged 78 years old felon over a younger, intelligent, and poised lady in Kamala Harris.

And oh Chris, I think I know why you made this exception here. It's because it's about your beloved Donald Trump. You have being posting about him all day today. Just FYI, this is Kamala Harris and DNC's week. I know you're going to do some life activities tonight with the DNC convention. Good for you there.

You really have to be a special kind of person to think that Chris is a shill for Trump. I really don’t get it.

Agree about RFK …but not about Chris. He’s a Trump supporter. Sometimes we don’t like to hear positive news about those that we loathe….but that doesn’t make the messenger a supporter of the loathesome.

I am not sure if Chris is a Trump supporter. But Chris is a supporter of the horserace, which is why he engages in so much β€œboth-sides” framing.

RFK is a political whore. That makes him a perfect match-up for an equally morally compromised Trump. Come on, America. Lets elect Kamala and put an end to this bullcrap.

On AOC, that woman is sharp and getting better. Ten years ago, she was definitely to the left of me, but she keeps getting closer... and closer. Okay, that sounded creepy, but I do think she fits the mold of a Pelosi, Hillary, or even RBG. Liberal women fighting for the people who mellowed with age and became voices to be listened to. Even when disagreeing, and that is where AOC is getting better in recognizing the need for compromise. It always has to be that way in America.

Governor Matt Gaetz. Yikes.

I think he doesn't have a shot if Dems get a decent candidate, and if it is true that Florida is a possibilty for Harris to take in the election.

1) Breaking News: RFK endorses Trump. Collective Response: Yawn

2) At what percentage would Gaetz be considered politically damaged or tarnished? In other words, Gaetz receives less than "XX" of the votes in the primary tonight, what is the magic "XX" number?

I am happy the AOC got a spot and did well. I find some of her views and positions ill-informed. But it's important that the D Party be a big tent and consider input from progressives as well as big money donors

I don't agree with AOC on various issues but -- unlike the rest of the "Squad" -- I find her savvy, intellingent, and nuanced. Here's someone who is no fan of Netanyahu yet who gets condemned by the DSA because she participated in a forum against antisemitism. She may be left (or even far left on the American political spectrum) but she's not an extremist nor a fool

You're right, and my feeling is that it is not like a "makeover", or intentional really, but more about maturing. About realizing that you can't get everything you want and start working on compromise but also hardening on core values like a pro-choice stance. She can go hard on that.
