Why is Trump holding these press conferences at relatively remote locations like Mar a Lago and Bedminster? Why make the press shlep out there?
I have several possible explanations. First, Trump is lazy. Second, he enjoys the symbolism of making the press come to him. Third, He likes giving the free publicity to his own properties. Finally, I'm wondering how much he charges his own campaign for use of his properties?
Perhaps because he has still not paid all rally locations from previous gatherings and they are refusing to let him tie up resources (police, logistical assistance) for him to stiff them again. The number of rallies he is holding has also dramatically decreased since 2020.
Can we just skip over Dementia-Donnie and make this guy our President right now?

The truth is sometimes a bitter pill to swallow, but it's interesting to learn that many people weren't voting "for" Biden in 2020 so much as voting "against" Donald Trump. If that's a data-point everyone but me was already aware of, cut me some slack - I'm not as young as I used to be!! ;--)
I remain completely elated that Biden stepped aside, and even more so that Harris (and Walz) are receiving very enthusiastic support, but I also remain heartbroken that we needed to take the car keys away from grand-dad.
The swing in enthusiasm is indicative of something that seemed obvious to some of us...that Biden had no business being the nominee and that he should have stepped aside many months ago. If Kamala goes on to win that will be quickly forgiven and forgotten. If she loses...not so much.
Because, just like in 2020, he and they thought he was the *only* one that could beat Trump. They no doubt thought that American wasn’t ready for a black female President, given the racism and misogyny that have become so obvious with the rise of MAGA.
I believe wholeheartedly they were wrong, and the joy and enthusiasm for the Harris-Walz ticket makes that *very* clear!

I chuckle every time he says the price of bacon has “gone up 4 times, 5 times”. I’m fairly certain that DonOLD has likely NEVER stepped foot in a grocery store in his lifetime, unless it was for a press event…
CNN carried Trump's speech in North Carolina and I heard a good deal of it. He kept saying that he was there to talk about the economy, but it seemed to be more of his greatest hits. It did start with a "Sir alert" which made me laugh!
