two quick points. When has the Constitution stopped Trump? He violated it when he incited the insurrection, has said he would terminate it. He's already floated a trial balloon about staying past 2028 (to Congress: you guys will help if I'm doing a good job, right?" And no, he was not kidding. About Weiner - of course he would show up! MAGA America is right up his alley.
President Trump living rent free in all these liberal’s heads. No, he’s not gonna run again. No he’s not gonna stay after his term is over. So funny that anyone would spend a mere second thinking about such a ridiculous subject….
Gee, Dutch, we listen to what he says, and what he does. He incited an insurrection the last time he was supposed to leave. He said during the campaign "I should not have left the White House." Couple weeks ago, he said on Capital Hill he said something to the effect of 'you'll figure out a way to help me stay if I'm doing a good job." and hate to tell you, Cheeto Head is not in my head any longer than it takes to read the headlines and write a quick post.
“Trumpism was never about making America great again. It’s about weaponizing your fear and resentment. Immigrants, women daring to expect control over their own bodies, trans kids, and “wokeness”—these weren’t your enemies until he told you they were. Trumpism isn’t about policy, principles, or progress; it’s a spectacle, a theater of grievance where you gleefully cast yourself as the victim while ignoring the real threats tearing this country apart.”
One of the difficulties the Democratic Party must resolve, if not before the midterm then certainly before the 2028 election, is that the party known for dividing Americans into special groups never seems sincerely interested in Hispanics, Asians or White Americans (whatever being white is defined as today), especially male ones.
It’s noticeable and, more and more, those groups vote Republican if they vote at all.
Democrats can not appeal only to the Coasts and college towns. It's a losing strategy.
The big Democratic tent grows smaller by the day, surrounded as it is by unsettled special interest covered wagons.
Who is the consensus leader of the Democratic party? AOC may be the logical choice for 2032 but 2028 seems too soon to run for President when you haven't yet been a governor, senator, or experienced with running a large organization or involved in foreign policy.
If not AOC, who? The Governor of California will be running against strong headwinds and the Democrats don’t need another Northeastern solution as their candidate.

And you know this how?
Take a moment and read the comments…. 😂
Dutch rent free is one of my
Favorite lines. Thumbs upp
AN OPEN LETTER TO MY GLOATING MAGA NEIGHBOR

Trump will have made such a mess of the country by then that neither one of these successors will have a chance.
Junior....Weiner.....🤯
I'm a little disappointed that the story on Anthony Weiner wasn't titled "Weiner Pops up Again"....
🤣

AOC is not qualified? The bar has been lowered. Hegseth Patel Gaetz Kennedy
My main concern with AOC and Bernie is they have a lot of good ideas but whose going to pay for them
But again AOC could really surprise us. She is one of the left behinds
I just don't think AOC can win in 2028.
And two women in a row may be inviting defeat.
You could be right. Of course we could have a Republican female candidate. MTG. OMG
it will be interesting to see what happens in 2028 if Don Sr dies in office and Vance is the sitting president. Jr as VP? interesting times, indeed.
Wiener sounds like he could have some 12 step recovery. If Hegseth has an alcohol addiction he is not going to stop drinking on his own for very long
I say Weiner vs Santos
Can anyone tell me a single asset that Don Jr features that would make him a viable candidate/ president? Didn't think so. (Not even MAGA dupe Dutch).
And Weiner the perv can win..easily..if he declares his devotion to MAGA and Trump.
I wonder if Junior would run as Vance's VP. What a frightening thought!
JD Vance will be a formidable candidate. The democrats rolling out a Kamala retread might as well hang it up for 2028 as well.
