Vice President Kamala Harris will sit down with Fox News’ Bret Baier tonight, a potentially HUGE moment in the final 20 days of the campaign.
As Chuck Todd noted earlier this week, the bulk of undecided voters are Republicans who don’t want to vote for Donald Trump but who agree with him more than Harris on policy.
Know who watches Fox News? Uh, Republicans. Lots and lots of them.
Honestly, I think Harris will get some credit among loosely-affiliated Republicans for simply showing up. Going into the lion’s den and all that.
And I think the interview more broadly gives her a chance to disrupt the caricature Trump (and Fox News) have painted of her as a wacko liberal who is coming to destroy the country.
In a campaign where there aren’t any major set pieces left — no debates! — this is a moment. And in the final 20 days, moments matter.
