We all know that Brett Baier's interview won't be friendly, but I think that it's still something that she has to do. That way, she can say that she is willing to go into an unfriendly setting and advocate her position(s). At the same, she can taunt Trump by pointing out his unwillingness to go on (for example) MSNBC and CNN, and we all know how thin-skinned he can be.

Hope she’s had a chat with Mayor Pete about how to “perform” well on Fox News. Along Democratic politicians, he’s the expert!

I think most of us have learned how to pronounce "Buttigieg" by now. :)

Look forward to his being President Pete some day.

We shall see. Her town hall with Charlemagne Tha God was good, she answered all the questions pretty clearly and with detail and they (the questions ) were pretty specific.

Agree, Chris. Looking forward to your take on Trump in Chicago where he managed to insult auto workers- Trump described their jobs as simply taking parts “out of a box ....so easy a child could do it.... They build everything in Germany, and then they assemble it here. They get away with murder,”

Trump's Chicago comments on auto workers were one more unforced error that will cost him significantly in Michigan. Trump is doing a great job of kissing goodbye to the Wolverine state!

If Baier is fair and let's her speak, this interview should provide KH will material she can use for ads over the final 3 weeks. Those ads will have more steam with fence sitting Republicans if they feature Brett Baier, not Rachel Maddow. And if Kamala gets her chance, and takes it, to attack Trump for blocking the Lankford border security bill while also talking about her plans to help the middle class/hard working americans...success!

If I were a lifelong Republican I would have a very hard time voting for a Democratic candidate. It’s a gut allegiance.

But I also couldn’t vote for Trump, even if I held my nose. He isn’t a real Republican or a conservative and I’m not going to become a fool. I would sit this one out. Ditto for voting for a GOP do nothing congress that is led by a theocratic Alfred E. Newman look alike. Being a Republican doesn’t mean I support book banning, religion in schools, demonizing my neighbors.

If they would have them, I would even have Harris and Walz go on the FOX News opinion shows. They are smart enough to be able to have their way with them, like how Gavin Newsom always dismantles Hannity.

There was no lion, it may have been a fox den or a Bair cave , but she majorly had the ability and the courage to take the “interview” across the finish line in her own fashion 🏁💙🇺🇸

Strange it is to find not comments from certain subscribers thanking Chris for a post not focused on Trump.

Agree with your assessment, Chris -- though I think the final thing that will truly impact this election (likely in Trump's favor) is what chaotic actions Putin (and possibly Kim Jong Un, his new ally) take on a global scale. Putin is absolutely going to put his thumb on the scale by making unfavorable headlines in any way he can.

A thought I had about this, and curious if you have a take on this Chris - is - it is Baier that has the tough job tonight. He has to be seen to be "tough" on Harris by the Fox audience, while at the same time not appearing to be a complete a__hole. Baier is smart enough to know that this interview will likely draw a wider, maybe larger, and more diverse audience than normal and he does (I think) try to portray himself as a serious journalist. If he fails to be viewed as "tough", he will get gut punched by the FOX loyalists...

Lets hope she remembers when Bush Sr was interviewed by CBS Dan Rather, and Bush gently reminded Dan Rather of the time he walked off the set for some reason.

I agree that it's good for Harris to go on Fox. But you said "most Rs watch Fox." In reality, Fox's average primetime viewership is only 2.2 million. It's certainly true that most of Fox's viewers lean right. I agree that "normie" Rs are one source of potential swing voters for Harris. I hold hopes that normies in NC stay home or vote for Harris b/c they are turned off by Robinson & that the same happens in GA b/c there is no Sen or Gov race & Trump has caused so much havoc there. Moreover, the media world is changing, &Harris has a chance to expand the voter base in a mirror image way to what Trump did in 16 by reaching "casual" or "unreliable" voters. She may have done some of that w/ the Call Her Daddy podcast, which gets 2 million downloads& on Charlemagne Tha God's show.
