The new New York Times/Siena College national poll has good news for Kamala Harris: She’s now at 49% to 46% for Donald Trump.
It’s the first time Harris has led Trump in the Times/Siena poll since Joe Biden dropped out of the race in late July.
But it’s not the horserace matchup I want to draw your attention to. It’s the question of which candidate represents change. In the poll 46% say Harris and 44% choose Trump.
Which is remarkable. Because, of course, Harris is the sitting VP of an unpopular administration.
That matters big time because voters want change — and don’t think things are on the right track in the country at large.
I explain it all in today’s edition of The Morning. This is always a free post but I need your support to keep doing this sort of work. Consider becoming a paid subscriber today!
